The hospitality industry consists of broad category of fields within the service industry that includes lodging, restaurants, event planning, theme parks, transportation, cruise line, and additional fields within the tourism industry. The hospitality industry is a several billion dollar industry that mostly depends on the availability of leisure time and disposable income.


Tourism is travel for recreational, leisure or business purposes. Tourists is people who "travel to and stay in places outside their usual environment for more than twenty-four hours and not more than one consecutive year for leisure, business and other purposes not related to the exercise of an activity remunerated from within the place visited.


The art of preparing and cooking foods. Culinarian is a person working in the culinary arts. A culinarian commonly known as a cook or a chef.

Culinary artists are responsible for skillfully preparing meals. They work primarily in

restaurants, fast food chain store franchises, delicatessens, hospitals and other institutions.
