KC startup caps year with $900K funding boost

PlanIT Impact is capping 2018 with a $900,000 funding boost, helping it make key enhancements to its
�e Kansas City startup built software geared toward architects, engineers and contractor teams that arms
them with actionable insights on building performance aspects such as water usage and energy efficiency.
Some of PlanIT Impact's early adopters include area heavyweights like JE Dunn Construction, BNIM and
Gould Evans.
PlanIT Impact closed its two seed rounds in April and September, which included investors such as Kansas
City-based Target Hill Capital, Bulldog Innovation Group and local investors in the engineering and
construction fields. �e funding also included a $100,000 match from the Missouri Technology Corp.
Dominque Davison is the founder and CEO of PlanIt Impact, which was a 2017 winner in LaunchKC global
grants competition, receiving a $50,000 grant along with a year of free office space in downtown Kansas City
and with mentoring and professional services.
