Sustainability at Skyline College Skyline College values an institutional culture that is committed to environmental sustainability and justice. Skyline College and San Mateo County Community College District (SMCCCD) are recognized statewide for their innovation and award@winning sustainability efforts. Energize Colleges Internships The internship program allows Skyline College students to gain real@world work experience while contributing to meaningful campus and community projects tied to real sustainability savings. The projects were completed in collaboration with Rollingwood Elementary School, San Mateo County Community College District and the Skyline College campus community. Student Engagement The 24 Hours of Reality event created a space for participants to discuss the Climate Crisis. Sustainability Ambassadors Network (SAN) connected all facets of the Skyline College community. Participation in the Sustainability Blitz allowed integration of sustainability curriculum in classes that wouldn’t otherwise include it. On@campus waste audits collaborated with facilities, students, and Faculty.
