Mass Customization

Our range of converting equipment allows us to manufacture our products to your specifications in virtually any size or style. Our state-of-the-art printing presses offer superior print quality in up to twelve colors for your design or logo. We have a fully equipped creative department to handle all of your custom artwork needs. Our designers can work with you personally to create your custom look, or we can work with your designers to achieve the desired result.

Proofs & MockupsAll custom projects will be subject to final artwork approval prior to production. Customers will receive digital proofs to be reviewed for approval. Changes to this artwork must be received in writing. The proofs will then be adjusted and resubmitted for approval.

1. Projects Using Process Colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) with or without Spot ColorsAfter digital proofs using process colors are approved, a hard copy proof will be sent for color approval. These proofs must be signed and returned to Kaya before the project can progress to plate production. These proofs will be used to match colors internally.

2. Projects Using Only Spot ColorsWhen digital proofs using only spot colors are approved, they can proceed to plate production. However, hard copy proofs of these are available upon request. Typically these colors will be matched to the Pantone Plus digital library rather than the proof, unless indicated otherwise by the customer.


Proofs & Mockups3. Projects Requiring Color MatchingCustomers who require that their proofs match previously printed material must provide samples using the requested colors or images. These projects will be color-corrected to match internally. A hard copy proof with the final process colors will be sent for approval and must be signed and returned before the job is produced. Roll-outs will be provided for special custom spot colors that need to be matched and will also be sent for signed approval. The signed roll-out must also be returned before production can proceed.

4. Projects Received With Submitted Hard Copy ProofsWhen a hard copy proof is provided by customers, Kaya will match the proof internally. Digital and physical mock-up services are available for customers to preview simulations of their projects prior to production. Color separation proofs and color roll-outs are also available. Fees may apply to some services; please inquire for additional details. Once plate production has begun, the customer is responsible for any changes to the artwork that require new plates or production time.


Artwork SubmissionsArtwork Specifications:• We accept AI and PDF file formats.• All artwork must appear at least 300 dpi at actual size; templates for specific products are available—please call a sales representative for details.• Files must be in an unflattened form and layered as much as possible in the application.• A minimum of 2 pts. is required for font usage, or in the case of reversed or scripted fonts a 4 pt. size is preferred.• Process and spot prints are available in up to eleven colors. Some colors are transparent and need a white back print to be visible or more vibrant.

Please submit the following items with ALL artwork submissions:• A print of the layout.• Pantone (PMS) numbers for all spot colors.• Desired final dimensions (slight adjustments may be made to accommodate our printing and production processes).• Color proof or sample if color matching is critical.• All font files used in the digital file must be attached, or the text must be outlined.• For questions or changes in artwork, please include the artist's contact information.
