The Akrapovic SUPERSPORT line is the base level of Akrapovic complete exhaust systems. The cylindrical stainless steel tubing with interference crossover tubes between the header tubes work exceptionally well with the Kawasaki engine. With the Akrapovic SUPERSPORT system, the rear wheel of the Z 750 receives a huge 110 HP at 11560 rpm. The polished stainless steel also looks great on the naked Kawasaki. It’s a great package from both the aesthetic and performance viewpoints.

PERFORMANCE

Measurements of the Akrapovic SUPERSPORT system on the Kawasaki Z 750:

Power: the graph shows a huge increase over the stock performance figures. The power curve is linear, which means the engine is pulling strong and consistently right from the start. The increase begins at 5000 rpm and runs right to the top of the rpm range, where the max. increased power hit 11.2 HP. Below 5000 rpm the Akrapovic system follows the stock curve.Torque: torque is also increased. The drop-outs in the stock curve are filled and like the power curve, there is a major increase from 5000 rpm on. The increase is particularly noticeable at the top of the range.

CONFIGURATION

The configuration of the Akrapovic SUPERSPORT system for the Z 750 is 4-2-1, made of cylindrical stainless steel tubing. The system includes interference cross-over tubes between the header tubes, giving the Kawasaki increased performance characteristics. The muffler is the familiar Akrapovic oval, available with either a titanium or carbon-fiber outer sleeve, attached with an Akrapovic carbon-fiber muf-fler clamp. The individual elements of the system ‡ header tubes, collector, link pipe and muffler ‡ are connected with free-floating joints held together with silicon-shielded tensioning springs.
