A Letter from JayThe sun finally came out in February! A big congratulations goes out to our Ladies’ Member – Member Champions, Joyce Sirola & Tica Ewing. The ladies had to fight through a wet second day, I was very impressed with by their toughness! The Men’s event was contested in much more Renaissance-like weather. Kevin Kyle and Ryan
Reid held off a large field of competitors in the shootout to pull out the title after three extra playoff holes.
The Ladies’ Member – Guest Invitational was action packed and featured our largest field in event history! The overall Champions were Wendy Lentini and her guest Kathy Sava. Kathy Segato knocked in her third Hole-In-One on the 17th hole during the final round. As a result, she won a trip to the French Lick Golf Resort. A big thank you to Mr. Gary Matern and O’Brien Hyundai of Fort Myers for donating the Hole-In-One prizes for the Ladies’ and Men’s Invitation-al as well as the North American Cup.
Our Men’s Member- Guest was another event that went extra holes in a playoff. Congratulations to our winners, Jim Wieland and his guest James Schuering.

Fun and Dinner at The Club at RenaissanceFridays 5:00pm-6:00pm • Children ages 3-5
Your child will play various outdoor games and activities and then cool down before going to the Club House for our regular event of KIDS NIGHT OUT
held every Friday evening while you enjoy dinner.
Book ClubOn February 9th the Book Club of Renaissance met and was chaired by Liz Hitt.
There were 10 members present and the book The Aviator’s Wife was rated 3.7 and provided a lively discussion. The book for March 8th is Flight of the Sparrow by Amy Belding Brown.
The story is loosely based on the capture of Mary Rowlandson by an Indian tribe from a Puritan colony in Massachusetts in 1676.
Following her rescue Mary suspects she has changed too much to ever again fit into a Puritan society. The book is an interesting read and all are welcome! Call for your reservation 239-561-4170
