Askedabout what is the next thing that she wants to try, Tabu told IANSin a recorded response: "I want to try taking a break."Reliance Enter tainment-backed "Golmaal Again" is the four thinstalment of the franchise. Director Abhay Chopra's thriller "Ittefaq" is purpor tedly a whodunit mysterycentering on double murders. A celebrated UK-based writer named VikramSethi (Sidhar th Malhotra) who is in Mumbai for his book launch, is accusedof his wife Catherine's murder. Catherine is found dead by him in their hotelroom one night.Escaping from the police to prove his innocence, he seeks shelter in thehouse of a lady Maya (Sonakshi Sinha), whose husband, lawyer ShekharSinha, has also been murdered. How investigating officer Dev (AkshayeKhanna) steps in to take charge and investigate the case in the three-daydeadline and how the truth unfurls, forms the crux of this film. With the twoaccused, Vikram Sethi and Maya, both sharing their points of view of thenight of the murder, the non-linear narrative appears confusing and repetitivefor the viewer. The pace of the first half of the film is excruciatingly slow for athriller and the characters fail to involve you, even though the subject issupposedly gripping -- that of murders. The manner in which the investiga-tion progresses is mundane and fails to engage you.Director Abhay Chopra makes abundant and somewhat clever use of lightingand background score to create the right mood and setting of a murder

mystery. The plot is layered, but the screenplay does not do justice to it,making it seem tedious. Nowhere does the audience get riveted to the screen, waiting to know who the culprit is. One can sit back, let one's concentrationwaver and yet, you have missed nothing. It is only the end, where the unex-pected twist salvages the weak plot and adds an element of interest althoughthe manner of execution is replete with loopholes. It is the clever dialogueslaced with humour that add to the charm of the characters. On the performance front, all the actors deliver, but the film strangely belongsto Akshaye Khanna, who, as the police officer on this case, in his inimitablelazy style entertains you as well as delivers a strong per formance. He haswitty lines to support him, but his essaying of his character who displaysa myriad emotions ranging from anger to confusion and even sympathy,is commendable. Sidhar th as the aggrieved husband who is shattered athis wife's sudden death, trying hard to prove his innocence, is a treat towatch as well. There are parts in the film where it appears he has seem-ingly nothing much to do, but he conveys his state of mind through hissilence, eyes and sudden outbursts. His transformation in the last scene ispraiseworthy too.

MUMBAI, (IANS) Actor Irrfan Khan says he is not nervous and rather feeling excitedabout the release of his upcoming film "Qarib Qarib Singlle". "I am not nervous, I amexcited as you don't get to do stories like this very often. It is a romantic tale. Theromance in the film has old-charm to it, like we use to see in childhood. And it hascharacters you can relate with," Ir rfan said here on Tuesday.Talking about his role in the film, Irrfan said: "The role of Yogi, I thought I won't be ableto do it. When it was written on paper, this role was so astonishing and amusing thatI wonder how I am going to do it? To find the tone of this character was difficult for me and therewere many chances where this role could have easily turn caricature." He added: "When I read thescript, I felt that movies she (director Tanuja Chandra) made before, this is a differentchapter. She is star ting a new chapter with 'Qarib Qarib Singlle'. She wanted to makemore personal and delicate films, which has more relatable characters." On boxoffice expecations regarding the film, Irr fan said: "Expectations are always there, it ispar t of life. You do wonder about the performance of your film but you cannot delveinto it for too long. It is good or bad, within days you have to move on and out of it,because this is a weird anxiety and curiosity, which doesn't help with anything." AmazonPrime Video has signed Irrfan as the lead actor for its upcoming Indian Amazon Original "TheMinistry". On the new project, Irrfan said: "Digital medium is the future and we are doing a satire, which we have not done in a long time. A long time ago Manoj Kumar's film came out, which had this song, 'Ek tara bole' , we haven't seen satire after that and these guyshave a strong team and their sensibilities are really mature. So doing a political satirewith maturity will be fun." "Qarib Qarib Singlle" will release on November 10.
