What will you do as an apprentice in composites?

You’ll work with materials such as carbon, aramid and glass fibres to manufacture parts or assemblies to service many industry sectors.

apprentices will gain important knowledge about the processes and equipment associated with open and closed moulding.

• develop knowledge about materials and processes

• mould preparation and mould release procedures for all types of moulding

• develop skills to construct basic and complex open moulds

• develop skills to construct basic and complex closed moulds

• Composite part finishing

• Basic plug and mould design driven by process

• minor and major repairs of composite parts

• Basic design using composites
