Committee Members

Goals
• Increase Kellogg School of Management profile in the suburbs through group/individual volunteerism and KACC-West group events
• Promote awareness of & participation in local non-profit organizations and charity events
• Organize 1 KACC-West group event per quarter– Foster social interaction between alumni
– Rotate event locations around the suburbs to increase participation
– Have fun
• Avoid bombarding alumni with e-mail announcements – Do encourage alumni to announce or share new volunteering
opportunities throughout the year

Key Group Events for 2010• Q1: Big Brothers Big Sisters "Bowl for Kids Sake“
– Contact: Sandeep Londhe (board member)– Date: March 7 (from 3 pm to 5 pm)– Location: Parkside Lanes (Aurora)– Goal: Assemble six four-person teams to raise $2,400 (or $100 per bowler)
• Q2: Bridge Communities– Contact: Robert Lee or Jeff Huppertz (Kellogg alumni & board member)– Date: TBD– Goal: Support homeless families in the western suburb
• Q3: Naperville Ribfest– Contact: Jan McCombs– Date: 7/3 Saturday 4pm to 10pm (20 volunteers)– Goal: Help Naperville Exchange Club raise money for charity
• Q4: Feed My Starving Children– Contact: Robert Lee– Option 1:10/2 Saturday 9 am to 11am (30 volunteers)– Option 2: 10/30 Saturday 2 pm to 4 pm (40 volunteers)– Location: Feed My Starving Children’s Aurora packing station– Goals: Pack meals & bring wish list items

Big Brothers Big Sisters "Bowl for Kids Sake“
• Open to everyone • 3 KACC teams have been formed
– Sandeep Londhe– Robert/Patricia– Mark Whenning
• 3 options for participation:– Start a team– Join a team– Be a virtual bowler (help collect donations from friends and family but not going to bowl)
• Need bowlers for the remaining 3 KACC teams• Spread the words!!

through KACC monthly newsletter– Contact: Jason Sissel – Goal: Match non-profit board and volunteer opportunities with interested
Kellogg alumni
• Aurora Soup Kitchen– Contact: Jan McCombs– Date: TBD– Location: Hesed House (Aurora)– Goal: Provide hot lunch on Mondays and Fridays to poor and homeless
people
• Lending Kellogg alumni expertise to members of western suburb chamber of commerce– Contact: Jan McCombs– Goal: Increase Kellogg School of Management profile by supporting the
local businesses
