The musicKabaret Sybarit is an 7-piece alternative band, who has just released their debut album ”Akt 1: Rum nr. 13” (Act. 1: Room No. 13), on September 10′th 2012.

The music is a variety of strange but catchy pop, crazy and playfull swing/jazz, to magnificent and sinister rock-stories.

The storyTheir debut album ”Akt 1: Rum nr. 13” contains 7 tracks – starting a long story in a surreal universe. It is the first act of 3 acts. The story is about an evil man who

takes over the red light district of Paris called “Pigalle”. We follow different persons through their struggles against the regime.

the INSPIRATIONBiggest inspirations are Caravan Palace, Amanda Palmer, Kaizers Orchestra,

Analogik, Tom Waits, Disney, Fallout 3, Bioshock and the movie Cabaret.

the GenreWe call it KabaRock.

Bands Of Tommorow (d. 16/11 - 2012)Kabaret Sybarit is extraordinary. There is no one who does what they do, and therefore they are incomparable to other bands ... It is a twisted universe, and there is a lot of focus on all the little details, and it works out great. Lyrics are delivered in an outrageous tempo, and the music and

cooperation of the band is. They have to be seen and heard at the same time.

Live Liga (d. 14/11 - 2012)Kabaret Sybarit’s biggest strength is their unique style. Throughout the entire show, they man-age to create an illusion of being in another time, where circus and gramophones had its era.

They can do things no other band can do.After the show, you and the audience are left, drenched in sweat and happy, with the feeling of

having witnessed the beginning of something very huge on the music scene of Denmark.

beat. I could write many very positive things about everything Kabaret Sybarit did right this evening

… Even the most cynical of the audience will be charmed.

LYDTAPET.dk (d. 13.08 – 2011): With lots of movement and a lead singer with an obvious talent for acting, Kabaret Sybarit

owned the stage and invited the audience to their party. The audience accepted the invitation, and after just a couple of songs, there was a symbiosis between band and audience.

Singer Martin Klein Sørensen’s body language and constant contact with the audience gave a sort of musical atmosphere, in its best meaning.

Underlyd.org (d.21/10 2012)Very refreshing. In many ways, it is alternative music, with its mix of modern rock, in ways comparable to Kaizers Orchestra. On the other hand, it is far from fusion, and much closer to genuine cabaret than Kaizers Orchestra would ever dream of

achieving.
