Cooperative Print Solutions (CPS) is a large printing company who asked me to create a unique and dynamic capabilities brochure and folder piece that their sales people could give out to current and potential clients.
To complete this project, I came up with the concept, interviewed several CPS employees to write creative copy, chose the images, designed the brochure and folder, and created the prepress files to be printed by the client.

I wrote the copy, and used a typographical focus on this unique direct mail piece that was targeted to a very select group of past and potential clients.

Safe & Sound Home Systems needed an updated logo and overall look that would exemplify the high quality and functionality of the sound and security equipment that they professionally install.
I started by designing a logo that was clean and functional, with colors that workd well on both black and white. Next, I created a business card, stationery package and full-color capabilities brochure to showcase the product, and simplify its technical nature for customers. I also created a 2.5 x 6.5 sq. ft. trade show banner, and a 2-sided sell sheet focused on increasing sales of home and commercial security systems. Finally the design was carried through vehicle graphics and a new website.
During this process, I did the concepting, design, copywriting and prepress production of all pieces.

Midwest Landscapes is a large, high-end landscaping company in the north metro, and they needed marketing collateral that would reflect the scope of their capabilities to the large scale clients they serve.
I worked closely with Midwest’s Vice President on this entire project. I first did an update on their existing logo, since they needed to keep it close to it’s original form. Next, I developed business cards, a stationery package and a full-color capabilities brochure and folder to showcase the company. I also created publication ads and direct mail for their wholesale tree business. Finally the design was carried through vehicle graphics and a new website.
During this process, I did the concepting, design, photo direction, copywriting and prepress production of all pieces.

When I originally started working with Midwest Landscapes they were strictly a commercial landscaping firm. J. Cousineau’s needed to increase it’s percentage of food to beverage sales. They decided to do this by expanding their catering business.
The first step was to schedule a photo session with a professional food photographer to get great images. Next, I created a full color Catering Brochure that was designed to be either mailed or hand delivered to local offices, with the goal of gaining exposure and increasing demand for catering to business meetings and office events. Finally, I designed a followup postcard that was direct mailed to these same local businesses as a reminder and call to action.
As a young boy growing up in Minnesota, Eric Hooper was rightfully taught to live by theGolden Rule — treat others as YOU would want to be treated. His years in business have taughthim the value of what he calls THE PLATINUM RULE — treat others as THEY want to betreated. Eric recognizes that each of his clients has individual needs, and he makes it his job toidentify, meet and exceed those needs in every way possible.
Eric earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas. His love and appreciation for the quality of life he enjoys in Minnesota influenced his decisionto build his profession and raise his family here. He and his wife, Shelly, live happily in theirbusy Maple Grove household with daughter, Samantha, and twins, Hanna and Sara. With one child currently enrolled in the local school system and two more who will soon be inpre-school, he is personally committed to maintaining the high level of communityinvolvement that he has come to know here.

Eric Hooper, a licensed Remax Realtor, wanted to add a personal touch to his marketing by branding his own name.
I worked with Eric to develop his logo and tagline, and then created a business card and stationery package to brand his new image. Next I produced a direct mail postcard and a personal brochure that would help him reach new and repeat customers.
During the process, I personally interviewed Eric regarding his background, wrote copy, scheduled and directed a photo session, designed the postcard and brochure, and produced the digital files to be used for printing and for the website.

The new Infinity 3D Laser Measuring system was going through a product launch, and its developers needed to get the message out to potential users.
I designed business cards, a website splash page and a 2-sided capabilities card that would get attention and explain the product’s basic capabilities and benefits.
During the process, the final machine was not yet fully assembled. Since we needed images for trade show marketing, I met with the engineers, photographed the component parts, and put them together in Photoshop. I then designed and prepared digital files.

FocalPoint, previously known as Builder’s Carpet Design, needed a new logo and tagline that would tie their multiple stores together under one branded image.
I was part of the creative team that convinced the owners to change the company name and tagline to encompass all of the products and services they offer. Once we came up with a name and tagline they loved, I worked with them to design a new logo, stationery package and VIP Member Card. I also designed a free-standing trade show banner, information cards and publication advertising that focused on both contractors and consumers.
During the process, I researched the competition, helped create the new company name and tagline, designed the logo, found and purchased stock images, wrote and edited copy, designed all pieces with a consistent look, and prepared all digital files.
Simonson’s Salon and Day Spa does a substantial amount of advertising in a variety of metro publications, as well as in-store promotional signage on an ongoing basis.
I worked with the company owner during several seasons to design the look of the salon’s annual marketing campaign. I created ads for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine, as well as many other smaller publications and journals. I designed direct mail postcards and fliers, gift cards, store signage and banners.

As an Art Director at Gander Mountain, I created layouts of tabloid advertising, and directed photography for some of the covers and products shots.
As a Freelance Designer, I designed and produced a series of marketing pieces for Silver Winds Church. This included a brochure, postcards, door hangers, signs and publication ads. The concepts and designs needed to be simple and effective with a strong call to action. All were designed in one or two colors to keep the printing costs low.
