1 ApplicationMain application of High Voltage Connectors within Vehicle: AC/DC Charging Outlet, Power charger, Motor, High voltage wiring harness, Maintenance switch, Inverter, Battery, AC unit etc.

2 Standards and RequirementsThe performance standards for EV connectors are fairly strict: High insertion, current capacity, flame retardant and vibration resistance are key factor that must be taken into consideration when developing high voltage connector. The power requirements for EVs have grown exponentially compared to traditional cars with power consumption of 12V in tradition cars to 400-600V in new EVs, which yields to new development for high power connectors to meet safety standards.

3 Higher Automotive StandardsStandard high voltage connect requires at least IP67 standards and in some conditions requiring up to IP69. Since EV use numerous power and electronic devices, electromagnetic fields generated by high voltage and large currents will cause interference with other communication equipment; therefore the entire vehicle and parts must have anti-interference/shielding capabilities.
