•Thejobmarketisespeciallytoughforminorityyoungpeopleinourstate.In2011,AfricanAmericanyouthages18–24hadanemploymentrateof35.7percent.NativeAmericans31percentandHispanics(24percent).Highunemploymentcanharmayoungperson’slifetimeearningpotential.
