Just a conscious wish.True transformation comes from the inside out and not at all from the outside in. nothing from the outside: books, retreats, gurus and exercises only fill you with thoughts and ideas and do not lead you to your awakening. It depends on something profound, basic and important. Each of us from the fullness of the freedom given to us and from the depth of our being have to choose to value our journey of transformation and awakening. We must then cultivate the discipline to set aside everything else, all our past thoughts, beliefs, judgments, relationships, pains and hurts, so that we can bring to the surface the infinite reservoir of truth, love and peace that lies hidden deep within us and then begin to live from those truths. Until that choice is really and fully made we are not at all on the spiritual path. We only continue to unconsciously waste time and keep busy in our busyness.Each of us has to decide for oneself--when we have finally come to that place down, deep in the quiet of our being -- what do I truly value? What do I really love? And what do I intensely desire? Is it to set aside every passing thing (illusions) of this world, no matter what that might mean, so that I remember only the Truth that is always true. When the true profound, private, quiet place in us starts to value only one thing: Awakening! Then and only then, our lives begin to have meaning, because we begin to use all our time to the healing and awakening journey. Something changes within the very soul of our being for now our deepest desires are no longer to chase the flashy bubbles, money, relationships, sex, drugs etc. we ran after for so long, we stop searching for excitement out there for what we want is what heals us now and takes us to where we ought to be. The spiritual journey of your life has its source in the deep quiet center of your being that thirsts to awaken and see the truth. Then you will see that all obstacles to that journey are removed and all things are set aside for the homecoming. All that is needed for the journey to begin is a "little" desire of your heart. Without much fanfare you will notice that the journey begins to change your life in such a profound manner that you will be willing to do anything to not lose your peace and the enjoyment of the journey of awakening. If I the past you got lost in a football game, you may no longer lose yourself in it, you may begin to find it a pain to enjoy a cup of tea with a gossip gang, you may shut off the TV and get bored with politics and news. Life will take on a new color and depth. Distractions start to fall away and you will begin to handle yourself with the certain discipline of an awakening consciousness, which in truth is an act of Love. Only one value becomes central in your life as it begins to replace all the other values that were only a burden in the first place.The Divine can only come close to us to the extent that we are open to allow Him to enter. God doesn't come and interrupt our dreams, wake us from sleep and banish our sufferings until we want our sufferings to end. Then and only then He rushes in. It is important for you to understand that only you can do it for yourself. All you choose happens when you truly desire to awaken. Nobody can force you and drag you against your wishes. So let's do it! Just a little conscious wish.
