A great way to help identify your school of choice is to visit the campus. Sophomores, juniors and seniors are allowed to receive up to four excused absences for these visits.
In order for these absences to be excused, students must complete the following:
1. One week prior to the visit, a parent written note that includes the name of the institution and the date of the planned college visit needs to be submitted to Student Services with the attention to Ms. Green.
2. During the visit, you need to request a letter of verification that states the attended college on the date absent. The letter should be on school letterhead. 3. On the day of return, you must submit the letter of verification to Ms. Green.
4. Once this is completed, the absence should be excused within 1 week of submitting the letter.

• Volunteer hours must be pre-approved by counselors ahead of time
• Student needs to fill out forms for each place he/she volunteers
• It does not need to be non-profit
