GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS V. COLLEGE
REQUIREMENTS
Four-year college requirements are different than theminimum high school graduation requirements
Each college has its own requirements/recommendations and within each college they vary by
major The University of California (UC) and California State
University (CSU) systems are indicative of most collegerequirements, but students need to check out therequirements of the specific colleges and majors that
they are interested in Applying for any college and major is becoming
increasingly difficult and we recommend students takeadvantage of the programs we offer at CCHS which willmake them competitive college applicants

EARLY DECISION VS. EARLY ACTION
Early Decision: You agree to attend the college if it
accepts you and offers anadequate financial aid package.Although you can apply to only onecollege for early decision, you mayapply to other colleges through theregular admissions process. Ifyou're accepted by your first-choicecollege early, you must withdraw allother applications. Usually, collegesinsist on a nonrefundable depositwell before May 1.
Early Action: Early action plans are similar but are
not binding, unlike early decision. Ifyouve been accepted, you canchoose to commit to the collegeimmediately, or wait until the spring.Under these plans, you may alsoapply early action to other colleges.
Usually, you have until the late springto let the college know your decision.
