Virtual RaceJune 1 - July 31 | All AgesA virtual race is one that can be run at any location within a given time frame at any venue you wish! Walk, jog, skip, ride a bike or run the distance of your choice. You can complete your race at the gym on a treadmill, a practice run in town, a stroll in the park or another local racing event.

NPL is sponsoring a virtual race this summer between June first and July thirty-first, and we want you to sign up! We believe in the honor system, so no proof of your activity is required, but it would be awesome if you would tell us about your experience on social media! The first 100 participants to finish and post a distance of at least 5K to NPL’s Facebook page will receive a finisher’s medal. Signed waiver required.

Couch to 5K GroupEvery Tuesday in June & July 7:00 - 7:30 pm | Adults & TeensThe “Couch to 5K” program is a fantastic fitness strategy that’s been designed to get just about anyone from the

couch to running 5 kilometers or 30 minutes in just 9 weeks. The secret is a gentle introduction to getting the body moving, starting off alternating between walking and running small distances. After 8 weeks, you’re ready to run five kilometers or 30 minutes non stop!

Join NPL volunteers, Charlene Flowers and Angie Stillson, as they facilitate this group to introduce the program to beginners and provide support and encouragement.

Participants may choose to walk or run together after check-in each night. No registration is necessary.
