Trinity Sunday

We are moving from having our church closed to celebrating Mass together in the church beginning this Saturday,

June 6th . Mass times will remain as they have been during the shutdown at 4:00 PM Saturdays and 8:00, 10:00,

and 12:00 PM on Sundays. Everyone attending Mass in the church will be required to wear a mask during the

Mass.

The Archbishop has dispensed all parishioners from the obligation of attendance at Sunday Mass until further

notice. Those of us who are older, and those with underlying medical conditions, or simply concerns about safety

are encouraged to use this dispensation from the attendance at Mass. Masses will continue to be streamed on-line

for all daily at 10 AM and Saturdays at 4 PM.

Space is limited in the church due to the need to set it up in a way that will insure the six-foot distancing

requirement. Signing up for a particular Mass will be necessary in order not to overbook any Masses. See today’s

bulletin for information on that.

Above all we want all of our parishioners to be safe. Staying at home and wearing a mask in public, keeping

distance from others when out of your house, taking advantage of the dispensation from Mass – all are ways to

lessen the likelihood of infection during this time.

We look forward, still, until the time when we can all gather together unrestricted, and we pray for all of you and

for all our first responders and victims of the corona virus.

Sign up for a weekend Mass (No sign up is required to attend a daily Mass)

Due to limited space, we are requiring each family sign up for a specific Mass time. Masses will be Saturday at 4 pm and Sunday at 8 am, 10 am, and noon.

If you are unable to sign up online, please call the parish office at 913.649.1337 and leave a message stating which time you would like to attend. We will return your call and sign you up if space permits. You can also email communications@cureofars.com to reserve your spot. Sign ups via phone call and email also will open Mondays at noon.

We are in the thick of construction and changes are happening quickly, feel free to drive by and take a look! The Parish Activity Center roof is now watertight, interior finishes have started instal-lation in the Administration, and windows are being installed in the new Middle School. Site work, parking lot and drive lanes are to begin soon and will cause lane closures and temporary closures of entrance/exits. Be aware as you are driving by or to the site.

Catholic Charities Food Drive on June 13 and 14

Please bring NON-PERISHABLE food to the Catholic Char ities truck on site after each Mass. Special re-

quest for this month is Breakfast Food (Oatmeal, non-sugary dry cereal, peanut butter, pancake mix, and

canned fruit) Many in need are depending on us. Also needed is canned meat (tuna, chicken, salmon),

canned or dried beans, low sodium vegetables, pasta sauce and canned tomatoes, whole grains (pasta, etc.), grits,

and rice (brown, white or basmati).

Times to drop off donations in the Curé of Ars Parking Lot:

Saturday after the 4 pm Mass

Sunday after the 8 am, 10 am, and 12 pm Masses

Sunday from 1 pm - 4pm

St. Mary’s Food Kitchen

Due to the Coronavirus

Pandemic the need to

provide meals to those

without continues to

increase. Since March 17th

St. Mary’s Food Kitchen

has served over 43,000+ sack meals. We need your

Catholic Charities Volunteer Opportunity

Catholic Charities provides a Mobile Food Pantry on

the 3rd Saturday of every month. The food

distribution will be held at J.C.Harmon High School -

2400 Steele Rd, Kansas City, KS 66106. Volunteers

will help unload food from the Harvesters truck,

assemble and package food bags and distribute food
