O Mary, you always brighten our path of salvation

and of hope. We entrust ourselves to you, health of the sick,

who, at the Cross, took part in Jesus’ pain while remaining steadfast in faith.

O loving Mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us

as at Cana in Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable,

and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health

and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure.

Help us, O Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus,

who took upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us, through the Cross,

to the glory of the Resurrection.

Amen.

Under thy protection we seek refuge, O Holy Mother of God. In our needs, despise not our petitions, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION IN TIME OF PANDEMIC

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

PEACE PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI

Religious Education

Children’s Bulletins The children’s bulletins are available each week on the Faith Formation page on the parish web site. On the left side bar, click on the Religious Education tab and you will discover the weekly children’s bulletins. Please continue to pray daily with your children. The Family (Domestic) Church is the most important formation for every child. If you are in need of a re-source of prayers children should know contact Brenda Bertram at 242-3311 for assistance.

First Communion Date Set

The parish will celebrate with the children in the second grade who are waiting to receive their First Holy Com-munion at a special Mass on Wednesday, July 15th at 6:30 pm. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers.

Confirmation Date Set

Wednesday, August 5th, at 7 pm is the new date for the Confirmation Class of 2020 to be confirmed. Their Liturgy was postponed due to the Church closings. Please keep these young people from our parish in your prayers as they await this day to be fully initiated members of the Catholic Church.

A Prayer for the Family Vacation Loving God, bless this family as we begin a time of fun and relaxation together. Protect us, be our companion, and ever-

loving presence. Guide us safely as we travel, help us bring the best of who we are as a family to the places and people we will visit. Lead us on, Lord, to a healthy and holy time together. Grant that we may return to our home renewed and happy. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

National Parent’s Day, July 26th Start making plans now for your family to celebrate National Parents’ Day by having a parent and family award ceremony. This fun activity encourages children to pay tribute to Mom and Dad, and for Mom and Dad to pay tribute to each other and their children. One of the unique things about National Parents’ Day is that the focus is on both parents, not just on one such as at Mother’s Day or Father’s Day. The National Parents’ Day celebration lifts up parenthood as a cooperative ad-venture where Mom and Dad are partners. How special it would be for parents in your parish to be praying for each other this summer.

June 28, 2020 - The Thirteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time “…whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.” MATTHEW 1O:38 Pope Benedict XVI said “The world offers you comfort. But you were not made for comfort, you were made for greatness. Com-fort puts “ME” first. Picking up your cross and following Jesus puts God and others first. Why settle for comfort when you can achieve greatness? Pick up your cross, ask Jesus for guidance on using your gifts, and live the life God intended for you!”
