From Our Pastor …

Holy Land Pilgrimage for Our Cluster

Every Christian should make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land once in their life time. There is no better way to bring the bible to life than to walk where Jesus walked and to hear the voices of sacred history come to life in the surrounding landscape. We have the opportunity coordinate a pil-grimage from our three-parish cluster from March 25-April 5 in 2019 for $3550 per person. We would work with the Alatrash family that visited this Spring to sell items from the Holy Lands and their personal connec-tions in the Holy Land. Fr. Julius hopes to accompany the group as spir-itual director. The itinerary includes three days traveling through biblical sites in Galilee, 3 days touring the sacred sites of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, and more. There will also be mass at sacred sites and a rosary each day to bracket it in prayer. The price includes round trip air-fare, hotel with breakfast and supper, tour guides and entrance fees, and travel within Israel and Palestine. Please contact your parish office 845-2705 or Rhonda Dingmann at [email protected] for information.

ANTHONY SAINT

MARTIN SAINT

Feast of St. Anthony outdoor Mass on

June 13th. It was a beautiful evening and a wonderful

celebration for the Patron Saint of Saint Anthony!

Mass at the Grasshopper Chapel in Cold Spring on

Thursday, June 14th. Father Edward & Father

Julius concelebrated Mass.

Help Wanted Seven Dolors is looking for someone to vacu-um the church on a weekly/semi-weekly (winter) & monthly (summer) basis. This usually takes about three hours per time and can be done by a family, couple of people or an individual. This is not a volunteer position (but it could be)! Pay would be minimum wage. Please call the parish office 320-845-2705. We would like to thank Matt Zierden & Family for the wonderful job they have done for the past six years (we really hate to see you go!!) Please Pray For... All who are sick in our community especially: Reagan Zierden, Ella Budde, Hanna Hamann, Mary Binsfeld, Elmer Utsch, Jack & Char Petermeier, Mike Froelich, Arlene Landowski, Irene Hoppe, & Anna May Fleischhacker. Eucharistic Adoration Friday 8am-6pm. Current Funeral Lunch Group #16

Catholic Foundation Ireland Pilgrimage Explore the most treasured shrines of Ireland as you visit the "Emerald Isle's" scenic lands and cultures of the Catholic faith from October 17—29. Fr. Jeremy Ploof is the spiritual leader accompanying the group. This customized tour is being offered by the Catholic Foundation St. Cloud Diocese. For a brochure with complete details and itinerary contact: Alice Coudron 320-258-7656 or email [email protected].

Thank You With sincere “Thanks” to all who donated to the Catholic Relief Services Collection and to the Rice Bowl program. CRS operates on a grassroots level in over 100 countries around the world and donations like yours continue to make this possible. This is the primary outreach of the

Catholic Church in the United States to assist with the global needs of our broth-ers and sisters in faith. You also contribute toward local hunger relief with funds being distributed throughout our diocese to organizations like area food shelves. On behalf of those who benefit from your kindness and generosity, out heartfelt gratitude. Fr. Bill Vos & Elizabeth Neville—St. Cloud Mission Office.

Save The Date The Sauk Centre/Melrose Deanery is hosting a pilgrimage to view and have a guided tour of the St. John’s Bible on Friday August 3rd . We will be meeting at 11am for lunch at Fischer’s Club in Avon. Lunch cost will be un-der $10. The deanery will pay for the tour. You are responsible to pay for lunch. For questions and to RSVP call Jean Zwilling at 320-492-7069 no later than July 27th, as we need a head count for the restaurant & tour.

A Scam Targets Catholics Can you do a favor for a priest? Some Catholics have been hit by scam-mers sending requests, purportedly from their parish priests, for iTunes gift cards. Emails contain fake requests from “priests” asking that iTunes gift cards be sent to another address so they may be given to someone in need. Please be wary of such email scams and phone calls asking for your help.

RAFFLE Chancebooks are ready in the gathering area!

The grand prize will be $2,000 again this year, raffle tickets will be $3 each with 20 chances per book. You can pay your $10 dinner donation along with your raffle book (OR use the June 24th enve-lope in your packet). If you didn’t get a chancebook please call 845-2705. The RAFFLE is the main money maker for the bazaar, please pick up your book. Your sold book may be dropped off at the parish office, put in the Sunday col-lection or on the day of the bazaar dropped off at the chancebook stand by 6:00 pm. In order to comply with "gambling regulations" each ticket is con-secutively numbered, the cover & label must remain on the book and ALL unsold books MUST be returned. RAFFLE GRAND PRIZE: DONATIONS for the RAFFLE $2,000 GRAND PRIZE would be gratefully appreciated. Dona-tions may be dropped off at the parish office or through the collection.

$10 Dinner Donation An envelope is in your “Second Quar-ter” donation envelope set for the $10 bazaar dinner donation (envelope is dat-ed June 24th). Many area churches still ask for specific items to be donated for the bazaar dinner; this eliminates that method and allows the dinner chair-people to buy what is needed. Dinner donation envelopes will also be available in the gathering area. Please return your envelope as soon as you can—it makes the job of reminding by text or phone much easier!

NEW THIS YEAR: Pies & Cakes We are in an EVEN year, you will be asked to bring: A-L=2 pies and M-Z=2 cakes. NEW THIS YEAR: Because of the success of the Cake Walk we are asking that M-Z bring 2 cakes this year!

Bazaar Quilts ON LINE The quilts for the 2018 bazaar are ON LINE at: www.sevendolors-stanthony.org/Quilts.html.
