Hello Chapter Q Members and Friends!!

Due to Covid-19, social distancing, and isolating, it had been 13 weeks since we last

met at our February gathering. We were extremely fortunate to have had no Covid-

19 infections during this time.

Even though Montgomery County restaurants are partially open, we wanted to err

on the side of caution as many of us are in the high-risk group. So, we planned to

have our first “post Covid-19” business meeting on Tuesday, May 26 at a member’s

home. Tom and Pat Murray graciously offered their covered deck.

About 14 Chapter Q members attended. Tom grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and

others brought dishes to share. We were so glad to see one another! During our

13-week hiatus, we had checked in on members via text. But we were really

excited to be able to get together and to see one another in person!

While we did a lot of catching up, we managed to figure out our next steps to get us

rolling again, both with upcoming rides and opportunities to socialize.

Ruth, our newsletter editor, will include our calendars for June, July, and August.

However, activities for July and August are tentative until we have more definitive

answers on restaurant openings in Montgomery County.

In June, our monthly Gathering will be held on June 29 at Cindy Bidwell’s house. If

you are a member of another chapter and would like to join us, please contact

Cindy Bidwell for her address and directions Her phone number is: 731-227-9016.

Please note that we will eat at 5:00 p.m. and meet at 6:00 p.m.

All other activities in June have been cancelled. However, during June, we will

have “spontaneous” rides as people feel the urge to get out and ride! We’ll put the

word out on GroupWorks to see if anyone else would like to join us.

Chapter Q would like to let our Tennessee Chapters and all of GWRRA know that

we will continue to hold all of you in our thoughts and prayers as we get through

this pandemic together. Stay well; ride safe; have fun!
