Programs for all ages Border Patrol K9 Demo — U.S. Border Patrol officers and their K9 partners will demonstrate some of the work they do. Agents will talk about the types of dogs used, how the dogs are trained, and what they're trained to do. 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 Craft Series — Put your creativity to use to make these out-of-this-world crafts. Starts at 2 p.m. every Saturday in June. Here’s what we’ll be making: Space Magnets on June 8; Galaxy Jars on June 15; Astrology Craft on June 22; and Galaxy Snow Globes on June 29. Crafters of all ages will enjoy these events, but under age 10 will need to bring a helper. Family Game Day — Load up the kids, the grandparents, uncles, aunts and all your friends. Set aside Thursday afternoon/evening to spend playing games. Lots of games to choose from. 4-6:30 Thursdays. Seeing (Sun)Spots: Solar Viewing — Join members of the Foothills Library Astronomy Club at 10 a.m. Friday, June 14, for a morning of looking for solar flares, prominences, and sun spots through solar telescopes, which are equipped with solar filters for viewing the sun. Border Patrol Boot Camp — Anyone can get fit at the library! Border Patrol officers will lead participants through a Border Patrol Boot Camp. Participate in stretches, mild exercises, and learn the importance of healthy eating and staying hydrated. Participants under age 18 will need adult approval. 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 19 Wildman Phil Reptile Show — Join us for an interactive reptile show featuring all kind of amazing crawly critters! Fun for the whole family! 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.

Programs for Children Storytime — Children age 2-5 will benefit from stories, games, music, crafts and more! Tuesday mornings at 10:30. The first Tuesday of each month is Bilingual Storytime. Builders Club — Children ages 6-12 years can unleash their creativity through construction. Different building materials and challenges will be provided to facilitate critical thinking and learning through play. Starts at 1 p.m. on Fridays, June 7 & 21. Children’s Crafts — Fun arts & crafts for children age 6 and up who want to make something unique. Crafts this month include: June 5: Flying Rocket; June 12: Planets Book; June 19: Space Doh; June 26: Alien Puppets. Held at noon Wednesdays. Library Lab — Children ages 6-12 can participate in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) related challenges including experiments, projects, games, and other activities. Starts at 1 p.m. on Fridays, June 14 & 28. Babytime — Children birth to two years will learn as they enjoy songs, movement activities, rhymes, a book and playtime. Thursday mornings at 10:30.

Programs for adults Book Club — The Wellton Book Club meets at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7. The group meets the first Friday of each month during the summer. All readers are welcome. Job Help — Cory Beck of Arizona@Work offers one-on-one job help. 10-3 Friday June 28.

Programs for Teens A Scene From My World — Create miniature scenes of our own imagined worlds. Have it reflect who you are, or create something new on the spot. Either way, it's all yours. — 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 4 Rocket Launch— "Houston, we are a go!" Build a rocket that'll be launched to the sky. We'll also use simple physics to calculate velocity. — 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 Starry Night Reading Lanterns — Decorate your own lanterns to project a starry night! On July 2, we'll make galaxy candles to go in your lanterns. — 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 Space/Sci-Fi Film Series — 2 p.m. Fridays June 7 — July 12. Tech Testing — Sample library technology including 3D printing, virtual reality, coding, and more! Don't miss this bi-monthly teen event. — 2 p.m. Thursdays, June 13 & 27.
