There’s a lot of activity in the studio every week. The shelves are full to bursting with work. With Thursday night classes and three regular Open Studio sessions the room is well used. Recent highlights include: • kiln training is now happening and systems for firing and

communication between groups are now in place. • the new Harco kiln controller is making life easier already

helping to shorten the long studio hours required for firing. All groups using the studio are enjoying the new heating/cooling systems. It helps make it nice and welcoming - especially on the cold evenings! In the spirit of ‘reuse and recycle’ does anyone has sturdy shelving, lockable cupboards or a solid wooden table that they now longer want or need?? If so would you like to donate it to our workspace? Please phone me, Sunshine on 0479 135 519 and we can discuss how I can take it away for you. Remember you are welcome to visit me on the open studio days, Sunshine.

Ever wonder WHY?

"Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a Diet coke...?"

"Why do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters...?"

"Why do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk in the ga-rage..?"

"Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin..?"

"Why can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed?"

"Why is 'abbreviated' such a long word?"

"Why is it that doctors call what they do ~ 'Practice'..?

Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavouring, and dish washing liquid made with real lemons?

"Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?"

"Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour..?"

"Why isn't there mouse-flavoured cat food...?"

"Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes..?"

"Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?"

"Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?"

"If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?"

Try out this … • While sitting down lift your right foot off the floor

and make clockwise circles. • Now while doing that draw the number “6” in the air

with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!! No matter how hard you try, you cannot do it, your foot will change direction, the brain will not let you do it, it is pre-programmed!!
