4-H is a community of young people across America learning leadership, citizenship and life skills.

Thank You for Great 4-H Adventures, Next Steps!

    Dear 4-H Families:

It is with much thought and consideration I write to let you know I will be retiring fromUWEX as your 4-H Program Assistant on June 30th. I have enjoyed my 24+ years get-ting to know you and your children.and then their children. There are so many memo-riesdigging up dinosaur bones at Upham Woods at our first Cloverbud Camp, and nowseeing it come full circle with my new youth leaders taking on this years theme DinoCamp. Working with our award committee on changes accomplished over the last threeyears to involve more children. Planning your trips around Wisconsin and Chicago, did youknow I may have been the only person in Chicago who has actually stopped a train!

My projects have been large ones, seeing many youth learn more about visual arts, draw-ing & painting, photography, foods and nutrition, cake decorating and cloverbuds! Thankyou all for your enthusiasm to learn and teachwith our wonderful adult/youth leaders, you have accomplished much, keep striving to do even better!

Next steps for me? My adventures will include spending a lot more time with my childrenand grandchildren, best of all worlds. I also would like to support those who have beendiagnosed with cancer; I hope to volunteer in a medical facility, nursing was my childhooddream. And maybeI will make it to Europe and ride the rail to visit many countries tolearn and explore their cultures. Remember, if you have a dream, dream well and big, and

then work to make it happen!

    Kindest regards,

    Linda
