2020, a festival of holes-in-one!Since the re-launch of golf last May, players have returned in large numbers and many have shared theirpride of make a hole-in-one... or many.

At Club de golf St-Jean, in the Montréal region, Ginette Choquette-Boulais is on cloud nine with threehole-in-one in 37 days!

At only 12 years old, Philippe Côté from Chicoutimi can already boast of having made a hole-in-one.Derek Lennon will remember his round of golf at La Tempête de Lévis for a long time. Luc Dionne, authorof the successful television series, District 31, just registered his first hole-in-one at the Balmoral golfcourse in the Laurentians. Max Lalonde, the friendly ambassador of the Get Out, Play Golf campaign, wasexcited at Le Versant where he made his first hole-in-one in 22 years of golf. Jean-Pierre Beaulieu, theExecutive Director of Golf Québec, even jumped on the momentum to add a new hole-in-one to hiscollection this Wednesday at Rosemère.

Then, Luc Pagé tells us the story of a friend, a new fan of our sport, who managed to make a hole-in-onethe very first time she set foot on a course in her life! Do you know a lot of people who have sunk thelittle white ball on their very first swing?

Competitive athletes and events

Summerlea will launch the season with the Junior Match PlayOn the competitive scene, Golf Québec is pleased to announce that Summerlea Golf and Country Clubwill be hosting the Junior Match Play Championship to be held on the Cascades Course from July 27 to29. The registration deadline is July 20. Read more on how to qualify for this first provincial event.

The RJT will serve as qualifying rounds for the juniorsThis year's Junior Regional Tour (RJT) events will be used to qualify for the Junior ProvincialChampionships. Be sure to check the eligibility requirements for each tournament:

Junior Match Play ChampionshipProvincial Junior Girls' ChampionshipProvincial Bantam, Pee-Wee and Mosquito ChampionshipProvincial Junior Boys' Championship

$30,000 in purses at the Bromont InvitationalThe Bromont Invitational will return to Château Bromont for a third year. All information about thetournament is online. With a global purse of $30,000, this is an event not to be missed!
