ONGERUP DRUM MUSTER FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST 12 noon to 5pm at

Ongerup Rubbish Tip, please make sure your containers have been washed out. Fur-

ther details phone Gerald Slee – 0428 282013 This is a fundraiser for the Ongerup

Golf Club - your support would be appreciated.

ONGERUP P&C NEWS The Ongerup P&C held their first meeting back after

COVID-19 restrictions on Friday 12 June. It was good to see everyone’s faces again –

some we haven’t seen in a while.

With a shaky start to our fundraising efforts this year, the Committee is re-focused to

undertake a few initiatives. These include:-

Vegie Box Raffle: For those of you who have already bought tickets in our fresh Ve-

gie Box raffle – it hasn’t been in vain. Those tickets are still good and we are hoping

to start selling more tickets. If you want a ticket for $2 (or 3 for $5) please see me at

Ongerup Tyres or one of our school parents, who will be happy to sell them to you.

We are happy to deliver to the surrounding area and Albany. Raffle will be drawn at

the end of Term 4.

Battery Drive: Is ongoing. If you have any old batteries lying around, please bring

them into Ongerup Tyres or if you have more than 1 or 2 – we will collect them from

you! Ring us to arrange pick up.

Ongerup Hoodies & Beanies: We are hoping to put together some great Ongerup

hoodies and beanies in the near future. Designs are underway.

Things to Keep Watch For: Ongerup P&C’s own wine label coming soon. Buy a case of mixed wines. Support the

P&C and have fun drinking the wine!

Doralane Food Drive coming up in time for harvest. Order forms for selections will be

coming out in August.

Ongoing recyclables drive. As at 1st October the WA government will be providing a

10c payment back for the collection of approved recyclable items. Ongerup P&C will

be setting up a collection station, possibly at the school, to accept your donations. Also

a good way to keep our roadsides cleaner!

If you want to keep in touch with what’s going on at Ongerup Primary School, the

school has a great little newsletter that comes out regularly. Please contact the school

to receive your copy by email.

Our next meeting is coming up in August. We welcome all parents and community

members to come along.
