**NOTICE - 3 HAY SUPPLIER CONTRACTS UP FOR TENDER** 2019-2020 Fiscal Year for Kamloops, Williams Lake & Vanderhoof

KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, JUNE 25th

We had another stellar sale here in Kamloops today! Total receipts were just

under 500 hd! We had over a dozen buyers fighting for grass cattle, and did we

ever have the kind! Butcher cows and bulls made up 3/4 of the sale receipts.

Herfst Cattle Co. set the bar for quality with their 666 lb hfrs that notched

184.00. Robert & Dianne Pasco showed their 1000 lb strs, that flew to 163.00,

and their 648 lb strs brought 216.00. Ray & Joyce Doll had an excellent group

of feeder cattle, their 655 lb strs hit 212.50, their 500 lb s/c notched 236.50 and

the 800 lb strs that roped in 185.00. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co. rolled in with

4 liner loads of butcher cows & bulls. Their load of 3 yr old 1169 lb cows sold to

94.50 and their liner of Angus x kill cows brought 82.00. Their Char butcher bulls

raced up to 111.75 and they saw 111.00 for their solid and good Angus bulls.

Miles & Leslie Downey were in with 2 Blk Angus young cow / calf pairs that

traded to 1925.00. They also put a top on our butcher trade today with 1575 lb

cows selling all the way up to 91.50. Shelly Kennedy was in with a young Red

Angus cow, who had a top bull calf at foot, that traded at 1950.00 and her Blk

Angus young cow / calf pairs also set a mark at 1975.00. Kitzel Cattle Co.’s

1390 lb butcher cows hit 85.50. George Little topped our butcher bull trade with

a 2180 lb Gelbvieh bull that soared to 114.00. Huge thanks to our contributors,

buyers and staff who put the power to this fast paced, exciting sale!
