THE GREAT ORGAN TEACHERS
A video/lecture presentation by Ann Marie Rigler of the teaching skills of
Gerre Hancock and other luminaries of the organ-teaching profession in
America.
During the last third of the 20th century, American organ teaching experi-
enced some of the most dramatic changes in the history of our
profession. This video-enhanced presentation will explore some of those
transformations through the recollections of significant organ teachers as they
reflect upon their musical training, their careers, their philosophies of teach-
ing, and the professional and personal legacies that they hope to leave for or-
ganists of the future. The interviewees include Roberta Gary, Wilma Jensen,
Gerre Hancock, Joyce Jones, Marilou Kratzenstein, and Larry Palmer.
Ann Marie Rigler will give a full organ concert on Sunday afternoon as part of Trinity Lutheran

from Central Reformed Church in Mus-
kegon.
