How did you get started in the insurance business?My husband was already in the business and suggested that I give it a try, and here I am 24 years later still doing it.

What tools are you using to obtain success?I am a firm believer in the systems the Company has put in place. I encourage agents to do the Personal Needs Analysis and the Annual Reviews. In doing these consistently and professionally, agents will obtain quality referrals. These referrals will add new homes which will enable them to stay in the business.

What’s one of your biggest professional challenges?One of my biggest professional challenges is keeping agents motivated at all times. Money is a big motivator, but not all agents are motivated by money. I try to get to know each agent, and then I will figure out what motivates each one. The end result will always be a bigger paycheck but some agents will need different motivations to get there.

What is one of your personal goals for this year?One of my personal goals for this year will carry over to next year. The goal is to have at least 70% of agents qualify for the 2013 CRT “Journey to Paradise” conference.

What advice would you give a rookie Agent?I would advise a rookie agent to come into this business with an open mind and a desire to learn the systems. The agent must have goals he/she wants to accomplish and a time period for this to happen. Be completely focused on the job, avoid all negative influences, identify a mentor who has been successful and learn from him/her.
