July 12th Race

A great night of racing is in store at Amer- ica’s Favorite Home Track tonight. It’s time to focus our attention to our local classes and let them prove to our great fans that they can give you what you paid to see without the atten- dance of Late Models, Sprint Cars, or any other upper division. T he pits will be covered with Modifieds, Super Stocks, Sports- man and Bombers. Need I say anymore? We all know how serious these drivers are about their racing no matter what class they are participat- ing in. For example, let’s talk about the Sports- man for a moment. A t our last Blizzard race I had one of the Super Late Model driver’s standing with me as we watched the Beef O’Brady’s Sports- man feature. He made the remark “Man, these guys really get up on the wheel and race their butts off every lap”. This is some the best local racing you’ll see anywhere. N ow that’s all said, I must mention the most popular race for the night, if not the entire year. I’m speak- ing of the Kid’s Bicycle Races. This is always a big deal because the entire family can get involved. They will all race for the “BIG PRIZE” of the night – Trophies and Ice Cream. W e thank the Long family for the trophies from Panhan- dle Grading and Paving Wow!! Makes you want to be a kid again, doesn’t it? Oh well, guess I’ll just sit back and enjoy. Maybe they will feel sorry for me and give me some ice cream too. Thanks to Tracy Goodson of the 2 Beef O’Brady’s restaurants here in Pensacola. They are open late tonite for race fans to have a bite on the way home. U ntil next time, be safe! T hat was not the first time a SLM driver has made that kind of remark to me. T he same goes for the “Ground Pound- ing” Modifieds. The driver does really have their hands full with these cars as they are almost like Late Models with no fenders. A lot of motor and small tires make these cars a monster to drive. N ow let’s add a little spice with drivers such as Randy Thomp- son, Okie Mason, Jesse Reid and Bubba Winslow along with a host of drivers who never disappoint our fans, as they will be racing for a win the exciting Super Stock division. T op it off with the Butler U-Pull-It Bombers and you have a great night of racing, as usual, right here at one of the best and most popular asphalt half mile tracks in the nation. Page 1: July 12th Race

Mix all that in with what has been

some of the best local racing in years, and, we’re off to a great start.

Tonight, the Allen Turner Pro Late

Models will again dazzle us with a pair of features. Young Garrett Jones and Fairhope’s Bryce Dulabhan, along with Pensacola’s Jeremy Pate, are raging a battle for the points lead with a mere 6 points between them. The new format for the series has met great success.

The Mods, Sports-man, and Bomb-

ers are also set to do battle tonight. Speak-ing of Sportsman, let us remind you, new division sponsor Beef O’ Brady’s, on Nine Mile Rd. will stay open late for your visit after tonight’s races. We also thank Bomber Division sponsor Cheryl Nelson of Butler’s U Pull-It,

A great night of racing is in store at Amer-

ica’s Favorite Home Track tonight. It’s time to focus our attention to our local classes and let them prove to our great fans that they can give you what you paid to see without the atten-dance of Late Models, Sprint Cars, or any other upper division.

The pits will be covered with Modifieds,

Super Stocks, Sports-man and Bombers. Need I say anymore? We all know how serious these drivers are about their racing no matter what class they are participat-ing in. For example, let’s talk about the Sports-man for a moment.

At our last Blizzard race I had one of

the Super Late Model driver’s standing with me as we watched the Beef O’Brady’s Sports-man feature. He made the remark “Man, these guys really get up on the wheel and race their butts off every lap”. This is some the best local racing you’ll see anywhere.

Now that’s all said, I must mention the

most popular race for the night, if not the entire year. I’m speak-ing of the Kid’s Bicycle Races. This is always a big deal because the entire family can get involved. They will all race for the “BIG PRIZE” of the night – Trophies and Ice Cream.

We thank the Long family for the

trophies from Panhan-dle Grading and Paving Wow!!

Until next time, be safe!

T hat was not the first time a SLM driver

has made that kind of remark to me.

The same goes for the “Ground Pound-

ing” Modifieds. The driver does really have their hands full with these cars as they are almost like Late Models with no fenders. A lot of motor and small tires make these cars a monster to drive.

Now let’s add a little spice with drivers

such as Randy Thomp-son, Okie Mason, Jesse Reid and Bubba Winslow along with a host of drivers who never disappoint our fans, as they will be racing for a win the exciting Super Stock division.

Top it off with the Butler U-Pull-It

Bombers and you have a great night of racing, as usual, right here at one of the best and most popular asphalt half mile tracks in the nation. (See inside story on Ryan Worsham.)
