Julie Hempstead, DVM, DACVO Dr. Julie Hempstead received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, and her doctor of veterinary medicine  from Oklahoma State University in 2009. Dr. Hempstead completed a small animal rotating internship at Ohio State University, and concluded her residency in comparative ophthalmology through North Carolina State University in 2013. She became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2013. She has a particular interest in corneal surgery, corneal transplantation, ocular drug delivery, and ophthalmic photography.
