Dear Friends,

It gives us great pleasure to introduce you to Jules B’s Spring/Summer 2015 Style Guide, our aim is to provide you with an exciting teaser of this season’s breathtaking collections, brands and premium trends for both men and women.

When it comes to organising your new season wardrobe, as a team here at Jules B, we believe we have a responsibility to help advise and inspire you with the latest trends and upcoming designers that we ourselves have been excited by during our travels. Once again, our buying teams have been travelling more than ever, striving to secure you with the very best handpicked designers the world has to offer.

As a focused fashion retailer it gives us great joy in being able to cherry pick the very best pieces from each of our chosen collections; pieces that we feel are on trend, wearable and more importantly give our customers value for money. We pride ourselves on constantly pushing forward, evolving and improving our offering, and this season is no different as we showcase an exciting plethora of new menswear and womenswear labels effortlessly sitting side-by-side those signature favourites.

New for ladies we present Parisian design house Kenzo, luxury handbag label Rebecca Minkoff and contemporary clothing by Tibi. Whilst over on our menswear side we offer signature shirt designs, tailored to perfection by Stenstroms, authentic, premium crafted leather boat shoes by Moccs and fashion-forward denims from Replay jeans.

This summer we also get to know some of our fresh fashion faces a little better with an exclusive interview with sensational new footwear brand Senso and gain bespoke made-to-measure tips from Italian tailors Corneliani.

We hope that this small snapshot of this season’s trends and collections will inspire you to visit us in one of our 8 stores where you will be welcomed by our expert team of style advisors or alternatively visit us online at: www.julesb.co.uk.

Best wishes and have a great summer!

Talks to

This season we introduce our favorite new footwear label Senso, and so to get to know the family-run brand a little better we discussed their trend inspirations, design processes and the label’s future aims with daughter’s Alicia, Imogen & Skye.

JB: How was the brand first established?S: Established in 1980, SENSO is an Australian footwear brand originally founded by our parents, Scarlett and Kim Meller. By 2012, all three of us had joined the family business - with us bringing new skills and a fresh energy, thus nurturing different aspects of the brand.

JB: What is it like to work in a family run business?

S: Chaotic at times, hard work always and great fun!

JB: What motivates you as a brand?S: So many reasons, however the most important reason would be that at the end of the day we are family. SENSO is our livelihood and we all as a result are motivated by our attachment to both each other, the brand and the customers we design and create for.

JB: Are there any particular celebrities you’d love to see wearing SENSO products? S: We are lucky enough to already have a huge following from both celebrities and bloggers all of whom wear SENSO, and we love seeing anyone wearing and loving our designs, no matter who they are. This is regularly reflected on our @senso Instagram account where we will post the images of girls from all over the world wearing SENSO shoes.

JB: What makes SENSO products different from other brands?S: We are a family run business, and our brand ethos therefore is not that of corporate companies, we have full freedom to create what we feel needs to

be created without restrictions. Every aspect of the SENSO brand, from the design process to the sales and delivery, is overseen by at least one member of the Meller family! We focus on high quality and unusual materials to keep the collection exciting and full of strong silhouettes. We also offer a wide variety of styles, from classic Chelsea boots and loafers to high octane heels and skater slip-on trainers so there really is something for everyone.

As a brand we are focused on quality not quantity and this is reflected in both the materials used and the stockists selected across the world.

JB: Who is SENSO’s target consumer?S: We see our customer as similar to us, the type of girl/woman who leads a busy life style, works hard and wants to always look great yet feel comfortable.

As a result our collections always feature our trademark flats that always reflect current fashions and trends. Our aim is for our footwear styles to be worn from day to night effortlessly.

JB: Where did your initial inspiration come from for the latest collection?S: The SENSO spring/summer 15 collection is designed for chic city dwellers whose lifestyle requires footwear that can take them from the office to a party! We take inspiration from everywhere, we all are constantly traveling between the UK, Australia, Asia and Europe collecting ideas and being inspired by our journeys, and this influence is portrayed throughout our footwear designs.

This season the key signature SENSO styles including Bailey, Riley and Avery have been updated

for the summer, whilst fresh design-led styles include Rhiannon, Qiana and Quarry.

JB: Do you feel SENSO products reflect your own style?

S: Of course! Between us four women we are able to make shoes that we feel are missing from our wardrobes and can’t find anywhere in the market. We all keep a keen eye out for trends, not just from what’s on the catwalk but from what we see on the street. Because of this we are creating a product that is relevant and constantly moving forward.

JB: What are your plans for SENSO’s future?

S: To continue its growth across the world, we are very well known in Australia and New Zealand our current mission is to do the same in the UK and Europe.

JB: Who is the designer of SENSO shoes and what is the brand’s concept?

We are family run business we all have a big part in the creation of the brand. Skye, who is the youngest of the three daughters, is Head Designer. However her designs are a collaboration of ideas from the whole team and our concept is to create fashion forward fast designs that we all would want ourselves.

MADE TO MEASUREAS AN ART FORMPremium Italian label Corneliani is a world leader in the tailored menswear market. Always striving for sartorial excellence, the label offers a bespoke ‘Made-to-Measure’ service to suit the individual needs of each Corneliani client. Combining an in-depth knowledge of traditional tailoring techniques alongside cutting-edge technology, Corneliani create bespoke suiting unique to, and perfectly fitting every wearer.

Firstly, offering the wearer an exceptional range of fabrics and colours, customers are presented with a generous selection of over 500 different patterns and colours, including a rich variety of premium cashmere, silks and the finest of linens.

Next, demonstrating an effortless measuring procedure, the made-to-measure tailor evaluates the customer’s volumes and proportions alongside a detailed account of their individual specific requests, ensuring that the unique garment fits the wearer perfectly to their desired taste.

Corneliani tailoring is inspired by indispensable quality and an acute attention to detail, and these qualities specifically underpin the next creative phases of the production process, particularly in made-to-measure garments.

Each bespoke garment stage utilises the world’s most exquisite materials, defined stitching skills and premium finishing procedures whilst the label repeatedly check every last detail with meticulous control.

Corneliani ensures that every garment achieves a smart and confident result whilst encompassing the necessary adjustments personal to each wearer.

An example of this strict quality control is evident throughout the design and creation of a bespoke Corneliani jacket.

Each jacket from the made-to-measure process receives 150 different procedures, 548 hand stitches and 27 hand-crafted stages, to make sure the final result perfectly complements the most exacting and sophisticated customer.

In-keeping with the label’s renowned legacy for offering high-quality tailoring with contemporary design, each Corneliani suit undergoes a three week process using the strictest criteria. This involves testing the garments technical performance and the precise handcrafted skills of the tailor, to provide and achieve an exquisite result.

The motto behind each Corneliani creation ‘the continuity of the past in the present’ is evident in the label’s combination of classic cuts with notes of contemporary detail throughout. Remaining true to the brand’s original values of ‘tradition, quality and modernity’, Corneliani is now world renowned for artistic tailored excellence.

44.

IT’S HOW YOU WEAR IT

IT’S NOT WHAT YOU WEAR

If you are going to style yourself do it with confidence, don’t be shy or do it half-heartedly otherwise it won’t work. Jules B highlights just a few key looks for this

summer which will transform you and make you look cutting edge.

THE PANAMAThe eponymous Panama hat is back with a vengeance. In Florence last summer at the Pitti Uomo menswear show there was every shape, colour and form of Panama you could imagine on display; bringing back an elegance and character into summer dressing that had long been forgotten.

Try one this season and you’ll be pleasantly surprised how enjoyable they are to wear.

ROLL ‘EM UPThere’s only one way to wear your chinos this summer, ditch the socks and roll your bottoms up a couple of inches. This look really adds a bit of character to your style. Try it with your shorts as well.

Page 47: JulesB Spring Magazine

45.

THE LINEN SCARFAlways a stylish summer look when teamed with a cotton jacket or waistcoat. A linen scarf can make any casual outfit look more interesting.

Look cool this summer by sporting one with your polo shirt and shorts; certain to add a certain flair.

THE ‘DOUBLE MONK’This elegant style has been well received by our discerning clientele and works just as well with jeans as it does with a suit. The Italians prefer to leave the top buckle open but either way, check out the offer from Magnanni, Stemar, Oliver Sweeney and Cheaney.

THE CRAVATThe cravat is making a comeback and in many cases replacing the traditional tie; it’s look says smart but casual and worn correctly the cravat can be a very effective adornment to a gentleman’s neck. Don’t be too keen to show too much, just make sure it comfortably fills the gap between the opening of the collar.

THE ‘POCHETTE’For a bit of panache, always wear a pochette (pocket handkerchief) when wearing a jacket, it simply completes the look and adds a bit of

colour that can be used instead of a tie.

THE DESERT BOOTAlways in style this lightweight summer boot is an essential piece of footwear for those hot summer days. Worn with chinos or jeans it just says relax and be comfortable.

Page 48: JulesB Spring Magazine

46.

BOSS LOOKCrafted for the gentleman who favours contemporary style of the finest quality, Boss offers classic tailoring and sharp sophisticated cuts with a

meticulous focus on attention to detail and a true versatility. Look to their luxurious shoe and accessory collections to elevate your suiting to another level.

A pair of designer swim shorts are every man’s essential travel companion, and this season we have an array of styles to choose from. Much-loved designers Gant and Hugo Boss showcase vibrant pops of colour, whilst vivid striking prints are the theme from Hackett and swimwear specialists Orlebar Brown. When you’re not cooling down in the pool then team your look with fresh polo shirts from premium casual wear labels including La Martina and Paul & Shark, then simply sit back and enjoy that well-earned cocktail.
