• Neveroperatewithoutpulpcontainer.• Ensurethejuiceriscorrectlyandcompletely

• Ensurethejuicercoverisclampedsecurelyandpulpcontainerisinplacebeforejuiceristurnedon.Donotunfastenthetwin-lockinghandleswhilethejuicerisinoperation.

To assemble your Pure Juice(Seeopposite)1.SetuptheMotorBaseonadrylevel

surfacewiththeOn/Offswitchfacingtheuser.

2.PlacetheJuiceCollectorontotheMotorBase.

3.Positionthestainlesssteelgratingandfilteringbasketontothedriveshaft.

4.PlacetheLid/FeedTubeontopofthePureJuiceandsecurebyclippingthetwosafetyleversonthesidesofthejuicerintoposition.

Operating your Sunbeam Pure JuiceNote:AsanaddedsafetyfeaturethePureJuicewillnotoperateifthesafetyleversarenotlockedinplace.1.EnsuretheswitchonthePureJuiceisin

the‘Off’positionandplugthecordintoa230-240Vpoweroutletandturnthepoweron.

2.Cleanfruitsandvegetablesthoroughlyandremoveanystems,largepits,stonesandseeds.AllfruitsandvegetablesshouldbecutintopiecestofitintoLid/FeedTube.

3.EnsurethatthePureJuicehasbeenassembledcorrectly,makingsurethatthestainlesssteelgratingandfilteringbasketrevolvesproperlybeforeplacingtheingredientsinthePureJuice.Refertopage4forassemblyinstructions.

4.SwitchthePureJuicetothe‘On’positiontostartjuicing.PlacefoodintotheLid/FeedTubeslowlyandsteadily,usingtheFoodPusher.

Note:Donotforcethefoodintothegratingandfilteringbasketasthiscancausebaskettoshiftandresultinplasticshavingsgettingintothejuice.5.TheJuicefromthefruitsorvegetableswill

flowdirectlyintotheglassorjugandthepulpwillbeseparatedandcollectedinthePulpcontainer.

Important:Ifjuicinglargeamountsoffruitsorvegetables,thepulpcontainerwillbefilled,switchPureJuicetothe‘Off’position,unplugcord,andallowgratingandfilteringbaskettostopcompletely.EmptyPulpcontainerandreposition.6.Whenjuicingiscompleteensurethatthe

PureJuiceisswitched‘Off’andunpluggedfromthepoweroutlet.

•CutfruitandvegetablesintosuitablesizestofittheFeedTube.

•Removestonesandhardseedsfromfruitssuchaspeaches,plumsandapricots.

•Removeskinfromcitrusfruitsandotherthickskinnedfruitseg.watermelon.

•Leafyvegetablesshouldberolleduptightlyintocompactballsorrolls.

•Apricots,bananas,peaches,pears,melonsandstrawberriesaresoft-texturedfruits.Thejuiceextractedfromthesefruitsisverythickandisknownasnectar.Itisbesttoalternateprocessingofthesejuiceswiththinnerjuices,suchascarrots,apples,etc.Processsofttexturedfruitsfirst,followedbyfirmerfruitsandvegetables,inordertoensuremaximumremovalofthickjuice.

•Allowthemotortorunforapproximately1to2secondsafteryouhavefinishedfeedingfruitandvegetablesintotheFeedTube.Thisallowsthemaximumamountofjuicetobeextracted.

•Addafewteaspoonsoflemonjuicetoyourjuicecontainerbeforejuicingtokeepjuicesfromdiscolouring.

•Servejuicesimmediatelyformaximumvitaminretention.Storejuiceintherefrigerator,covered.Donotstoreformorethan48hours,unlesscanningorfreezing.

•Somepulpremaininginjuiceisnormal.Itincreasesthejuice’sflavourandnutritivevalue.

•Theseason,ageandripenessofthefruitwillhaveaneffectontheamountofjuiceextracted.

EnsurethatthePureJuiceisunpluggedbeforecleaning.Afteruse,unplugcordanddisassemblethePureJuice.RemovethepulpfromthePulpcollectingcontainer(thepulpmaybeusedinrecipes,seerecipesection).ThePureJuicepartsshouldberinsedincoldwaterthenwashedinwarmwaterwithamilddetergent.Rinsewell.Useasoft,dampclothtowipetheMotorBase.Important:NeverimmersetheMotorBaseinwateroranyotherliquid.Caution:Cuttingteethareverysharp,handlejuicingfilteringbasketwithcarewhenremoving,replacingandcleaning.

Removepulpfromthegratingandfilteringbasketbeforewashing.Thebasketcanbebrushedwithanylonwashingbrushorcleantoothbrushtoremovefineparticlesofpulpthatmaybecaughtinthefineholesofthefilter.AfterprocessinghighlycolouredfruitsorvegetablesthePulpCollectionContainermaybecomestained.BicarbonateofSodasprinkledintothedryContainer,andrubbedwithadampclothtohelpremovestains.Caution: Neverusesteelwool,scouringpads,harshabrasivecleaners,thinnersorchemicaldustclothsforcleaning.
