**Parent Permission Slip**

In this class, students will be discussing events, and content that affect women and some topics might be sensitive to younger students. We will talk about events that we cannot cover in Core Social Studies classes such as United States History, so students will have a deeper understanding of women’s history. Because this class will have a diverse age group, I want you to be aware that some of topics we will be discussing are as follows:

1. Domestic Violence2. Sexual Assault/ Harassment3. Menstruation4. Micro aggressions/ Cultural ignorance5. Discrimination/ Prejudices6. Abortion7. And other varieties of violence

Please note that not all of our topics are so negative, and we will be discussing these topics objectively. As a historian I want our youth to see where we have been, to see where they are going.

Detachable portion: to be completed and returned to the teacher

Please read the attached syllabus, and Permission Slip and then sign below ONLY if you DO NOT support of the classroom system, and do not want you child to participate in discussions.
