  • JRC 3D Reconstructor Points filtering

    In this tutorial you will learn how to

    Simplify the structured or unstructured Point Cloud data created

    Delete the Pre-processing filters already applied*

    Merge together a group of scans

    Extract edges: depth and discontinuities edges*

    * Features only available for grid point clouds (structured). For unstructured point clouds, structure it by the Virtual Scan tool.

    For Grid Point Cloud (structured) different point filtering tools are available.

    Select the point cloud Right mouse button Filtering & Clustering

    Restore the data previously pre-processed

    Access at the 2D view of the point cloud

    Fill the Invalid Points

    Create a new simplify structured point cloud

    Create a new simplify unstructured point cloud

    Delete black points

    Extract orientation and depth discontinuities

    Simplify the point cloud

    Create a unique unstructured point cloud from a group of structured ones

    Filter the data with specific algorithms (see the related tutorial)

    Restore Raw dataPress YES if you want to delete the Pre-processed filters

    Edit 2DTo access at the 2D view of the point cloud

    Fill HolesThe algorithm converts the Invalid Points (points with no

    coordinates) in valid points

    ResampleTo simplify a point cloud, enter the subsampling value desired.

    A new structured point cloud will be created with a direct hyperlink to the full resolution point

    cloud

    Starting scan: Full resolution: subsample 1

    New simplified scan: subsample 10

    New simplified scan: subsample 10.

    Simplify PointsTo simplify a Point Cloud a new unstructured Point Cloud will be created with a direct hyperlink to

    the Full resolution Point Cloud

    Hyde black Points

    Delete all of the black points

    Starting scan: Full resolution: subsample 1

    New simplified scan: subsample 10

    New simplified scan: subsample 10.

    Extract EdgesAvailable only if the point cloud has been pre-processed.

    Orientation and depth discontinuities are automatically

    extracted.

    The discontinuities are extracted as polylines exportable

    in .dxf format

    3D density filteringTo simplify the point cloud according to a Volumetric Regular sampling

    Change these values to increase the Cell size.

    Higher is the Cell size, higher will be the

    subsampling

    Make single cloudCreate a unique unstructured point cloud from a group of structured ones. The final result is an

    unstructured point cloud. You can set the final color and the final Subsampling.
