The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). CACREP functions as an independent council whose purpose is to imple-ment minimum standards for counseling and human development graduate-level training programs. The CACREP scope of accreditation includes the following:
