VERY IMPORTANTSTORAGE RECOMMENDATIONSGalvanized products should never be in contact with the ground.Most of the soils contain aggressive agents such as clay, tuft, fertilizers and pesticides, which may damage galvanized products. Products should be stocked 15 cm above ground.All sheet metal components such as troughs and feeders roof’s steel sheet, etc...should be stored indoor and standing. Condensation will, by capillary action, reach the centre of components and damage the coat of zinc very quickly.The presence of stagnant water will leave to a formation of a thin white layer called «white rust». Its appearance doesn’t question the protection brought by the zinc layer nor its thickness.

HOT DIP GALVANIZINGHot galvanization after manufacture is the process by which a component previously chemically treated to remove any surface impurities in hydrochloric acid bath, rinsed and preheated, is immersed in a molten zinc bath in fusion (450°C) to create a barrier to corrosion.In the zinc bath, the zinc compound reacts with the component, which is not hermetically welded, and atmospheric gases to create a 70-90 micron layer of Zinc Hydroxide on the components inside and outside wall, in turn creating an excellent barrier to corrosion.Our galvanization baths are certified by the norm ISO 9002 under the n°8165.

Due to aggressiveness of grind vegetables and manure, it’s essential to apply before use the bituminous paint TR0005 on the following material : bottom of post, bottom of barrier and Freestall pin, knee pad, support ... and then periodically.
