WORK EXPERIENCE

40 Nuggets: June – August 2013I interned at “40 Nuggets” a company aiming to utilize algorithmic and predictive intelligence to give clients a more complete understanding of their audience and how they connect with their content and product. I experienced first-hand the difficulties involved in gathering together and assessing masses of data in order to consider the best ways in which this highly complex data can be given over to their customers in a simple yet informative way.Using my logical approach to problem solving I designed a Price model and a Customer Churn model, which was then integrated into one growth model. This enabled “40 Nuggets” to assess how their future will look, which I subsequently presented to the CEO proving my strong communication skills.I had further useful experiences working in Quality Assurance, ensuring that the requirements for the service were being met. I had to use clear understanding and strong investigative skills to ensure I did a thorough job.In addition I worked as a Marketing Analyst, researching and implementing suitable publications for 40 Nuggets’ client base and co-ordinated a more strategic advertising strategy.

Copes: June – July 2014I worked flexibly as a shop floor assistant whilst the shop was changing their location. My job was to ensure that the changeover ran smoothly at the same time as helping to revamp the new premises. I organised the shop floor ensuring that the customers had a pleasant and efficient experience. The jobs I did consisted of supervising transactions, pricing commodities, warehouse management and merchandise logistics.

VOLUNTEER WORK

Leader of the Ezra Youth Movement (Ongoing)

I volunteer for a national organisation providing enjoyment and inspiration to children of all ages. The programmes are organised through informal educational trips and events. It involves weekends away and weekly programmes to interesting and exciting places.

This has enabled me to become flexible working in many different roles, and innovative in planning meaningful events.

Leader and event organiser for Broughton Jewish Cassel Fox Primary School, June 2014

I volunteered in the year 6 annual Lake District trip which involved planning and running different activities. I had to plan these activities having in mind the educational facets as well as ensuring an enjoyable atmosphere. I ran critical meetings before and after the activities where we as group discussed advantages and disadvantages of each programme. Furthermore I was given the responsibility of being the medication officer ensuring the safety of the children.

Youth Summer Camp, UK July 2010, Volunteer Technical Assistant.

I volunteered to work for an organisation providing summer and winter camps for up to 150 children indoors and under canvas. I took on the responsibility for providing technical support to all divisions of the camp. This involved ensuring that there was enough food prepared at every meal and that it was ready on time. I also made sure that all the tents were set up for all of the children and helped guarantee the security of the entire environment.

I was able to recognise the importance of providing the support and maintenance for all sections of the camp and deployed a wide variety of skills from communication to health and safety awareness, organisation and preparation whilst also providing support to all members of the camp.

OTHER VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES

Sept 2014 (Ongoing) Informal Educator at a High School on a weekly basis. Sept 2011 (Ongoing) Help care for an elderly gentleman in his home on a weekly basis. Sept 2012 (Ongoing) Spend time weekly with a child in need, within a charity called Camp Simcha. Sept 2011 (Ongoing) Involved every evening in a learning programme for Young Professionals. 2009–2010 Weekly leader of a youth movement called Bnei Akiva.

GAP YEAR

2010-2011 Talmudic Learning Institution, Ohr Sameach, Jerusalem

The programme enabled me to become experienced in logical discussion in order to come to a well thought out practical conclusion. It made me into a more organised person who is also accomplished in learning and understanding.

Living in a different culture enhanced my interpersonal and communications skills and I was able to adjust to new routines, becoming more open-minded and independent.

As a result of the heavy workload I learnt to balance my studies and social activities. Through this I enjoyed the positive, rewarding experience of acquiring a real sense of fulfilment.
