My artwork is inspired by video gaming and the culture surrounding it, but it is not strictly limited to video gaming. I have many other inspirations such as music, animations, and cinema. I incorporate focal points, color contrast as well as complimentary colors, and subtle nuances that make people think about my work. I create art because I want to convey a sense of immersive escape and visual release for others’ pleasure. I also enjoy challenges such as commissions and collaborations where other artists and myself can exchange ideas. When it comes to commissions, I enjoy the work as well as the responses and feedback to people receiving their creation that they could not produce themselves. Pro bono work is another interest I pursue, when I have the time available. It allows me to hone my skills as well as putting a smile on an individuals face for receiving free detailed work. I have some discomfort with our society today because, in my opinion, many people use art solely as a selling point. I feel as though many individuals and companies do not take the time to create artistic beauty for the sake of creating something beautiful. Monetary value is not the most important thing to me, although I enjoy getting paid, I find that the creativity and challenge is more rewarding. I believe if you take your time and create your idea of a masterpiece, everything else will come with it. I make my art through the techniques of traditional and digital style. I prefer to use methods of graphite, ink, charcoal, watercolor, marker, and digital illustration.
