Dynamic Catholic, Alive! The Way, the Truth, and the Life

How do we know the way to God the Father? Only because Jesus has shown it to us by His life on earth, His Passion, death, and Resurrection. How do we know that Jesus is the Truth? Because all He said and prophesied came to pass. He is faithful to His promises. How is Jesus the Life? Building upon last week’s Gospel, because we can truly live only by obeying His commandments and walking with Him in humility. In the world today, in which philosophies, ideologies, and political agendas do everything but lead us to the truth and show us how to live, Jesus gives us the simple solution. How do we know what to do and how to live our lives in a fallen world? Because Jesus has shown us and told us that the one who trusts in Him shall not be put to shame (Isaiah 28:16, Romans 10:11).

Prayer of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive you into my soul. Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally, come at least spiritu-ally into my heart. I embrace You as if You have al-ready come, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

The most important person on earth is a mother.

The Most Important Person on earth is a mother. She cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral

- a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby’s body...The angels have not been blessed with such a grace. They cannot share in God’s creative miracle to bring new saints to Heaven. Only a human mother can. Mothers are closer to God the creator than any other creature; God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation...What on God’s good earth is more glorious than this: to be a mother?

Stewardship Awareness “The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” 1 Peter 2:7 Every person has been given gifts from the Holy Spirit. These are called “charisms” and they are used to build God’s kingdom on earth. While many people are able to recognize their natural talents and abilities, they may be unsure of their charisms. If you know some-one who is struggling for a direction in life, give them a little encour-agement. Help them discern their charisms and how God is calling them to use them. Remember - no gift is too small or insignificant in God’s salvation plan.

Email Update Request You may currently be taking advantage of the parish website to view the weekend Mass via the link to our YouTube channel. However, as we have realized during this current pan-demic crisis, communication via email is the easiest and fastest way for us to pass on important information relevant to you and your family. While not everyone has internet and email access, we would like to ask those who do and are not currently receiving communication from the parish to provide us with your email address. We would then be able to send you current updates and daily messages from Father Samson as well as upcoming events and happenings here at the parish. We value your privacy. We will never rent, sell, or otherwise use your email address for anything other than a communication related to the parish. Whenever information is communicated to you, it will be blind copied so that even those who will be receiving the same information will be unable to see your email address. Please contact the parish office at (636) 332-6676 to give your email address or send it to [email protected].
