Vocation Prayer Chalice

If you are willing to have the Vocation Prayer Chalice in your

home for a week, please call the parish office.

HOLY HOUR FOR VOCATIONS Our parish’s holy hour for vocations is on Tuesdays from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. The rosary at 6:30pm is prayed for this in-tention. Please consider giving an hour of your week to this important ministry of praying for vocations.

VOCATION PRAYER CHALICE All families are asked to work to nurture and foster holy voca-tions in their home. Our parish has a Vocation Prayer Chalice to share among parishioners who will commit to praying for holy vocations for one week at a time. There are also prayer cards that have a specific prayer to pray each day. If you would like to have the Vocation Prayer Chalice in your home, please contact the parish secretary Trish Seaman at 332-6676 or at [email protected]. You may request a specific week that will work best for you.

Dynamic Catholic, Alive! Holy Orders

What is the Sacrament of Holy Orders? “It is the Sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to His Apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time.” There are three degrees of holy orders: bishops (episcopate), priests (presbyterate), and deacons (diaconate). When a priest is ordained, he is anointed by the Holy Spirit with an indelible mark uniting him with Christ. This week, take some time to pray for priests and an increase in vocations in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Beginning August 1, 2015, our parish will be offering Online Giving. You will be able to

set up reoccurring or one-time gifts to the parish directly from your bank account or from your credit card by clicking on a link on our parish website that will give you easy to follow step by step instructions. This way of stewardship is even more safe and secure than writing a check once a week or once a month. For more information, call the parish office.

Stewardship Awareness “He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick - no food, no sack, no money in their belts.” Mark 6:8 How different we are from the Apostles who took nothing when they ventured out to serve God. Today, we make our journey through life more difficult because of all the material baggage that we drag along. Yet, the more we can let go of, the freer we are to serve God with love and joy.
