Dynamic Catholic, Alive! Transformed by the Real Presence of Christ The readings today discuss the covenants that God makes with His people, the most important of which is that of the Holy Eucharist given to us by Jesus Christ. At the Last Supper, Je- sus gave the apostles His very Body, Blood, Soul, and Divin- ity. He continues to offer the Eucharist to us so that we might be filled with His Real Presence. We have the blessing as Catholics to approach the throne of grace and to receive Jesus Christ Himself every day at Holy Mass. What a gift! As we journey through this summer, let us be transformed and become whom we receive in this great Sacrament. As we celebrate this great Solemnity today, let us be grateful for Christ’s perfect sacrifice offered for us and remember to share the truth of this great mystery with those we encounter. We must receive Com- munion frequently in order to be effective in our efforts of evangelization, spreading the truth, beauty, and goodness of our Catholic faith.

Donut Sunday The second Sunday of each month is Donut Sunday. All are invited to come to the cafeteria after Mass for donuts, coffee, and fellowship. This is a great opportunity to meet other pa- rishioners. Proceeds benefit Birthright. Join us next Sunday!

Here is the latest report I have received from the Archdiocese concerning our parish participation

in the Annual Catholic Appeal. If you have not participated yet, please consider being part of this program. We are not that far away from our goal: 2018 Published Goal $34,650 Total to Date $28,282 Total Parish Families 313 Returned to Date 169 New Donor Goal 15 # New Donors 28 # Increased Contributions 74 # Maintained Contributions 40 # Decreased Contributions 5 Signed Refusal Cards Returned 50 Let us pray for each other this week.

Stewardship Awareness “Then He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them and they all drank from it.” Mark 14:23 Jesus, the perfect steward, gave thanks, just before He gave Himself to us completely for our salvation. He offers us the chance to drink from His cup. In the Eucharist, we meet Christ personally and, if we listen to Him, we know drinking from His cup means our own sacrifice - giving up some of our time, talent and treasure to do His work on earth.

Welcome to Mr. & Mrs. Scott & Kim Starbuck.
