Dynamic Catholic, Alive! Repentance

Throughout the readings of Lent we hear a call from God to repentance. Sometimes it is easy for us to be stuck in our com-fort zone, so it becomes difficult for us to grow in our faith and our relationship with Jesus. We get complacent in our habits, our actions, and yes even our attitude. Therefore, it is difficult for us to look at our need for repentance through an objective lens. How can we get past this? We need to spend quality time with Jesus and open our hearts and minds to Him so we can listen to what He is trying to tell us about the areas of our lives where we need repentance and reconciliation. We are all so busy, but the truth is we make time for the things we want to make time for in our lives. Do you have time for Jesus today?

St. Joseph Parish Mission Statement In response to our baptismal call from Jesus Christ, we the people of St. Joseph Parish, as members of the Roman Catholic Church,

desire to live and teach our faith in our families, school, and workplace, relying on the Word of God and the grace of the sacraments, especially the Holy Eucharist.

All Things New Survey As of Thursday, we had 227 online surveys plus 7 paper surveys. This survey is very impor-tant. It will let the parish know areas that we can improve and let the Archdiocese know that we have an actively engaged vibrant faith community here at St Joseph. This is NOT a one per household survey. Every member of the household high school age and older should take the DMI survey. The survey website is allthingsnew.archstl.org or see the cover of the bulle-tin. If you hover the camera on your phone over the QR code on the front of the bulletin, the link will pop up on your phone and you can take the survey from the convenience of your phone. Please contact the parish office if you need help with the survey. Paper versions are available. Let’s shoot for 300! Donations for Ukraine The news from Ukraine is heart wrenching. If you would like to help the people of Ukraine with humanitarian aid, we will have a collection box in the aisle at the back of church. Donations will be sent to Catho-lic Relief Services. Or donations can be directly made through the Catholic Relief Services website, crs.org. What a blessing he is! Fr Jim Mitulski is such a blessing to a parish. We are so fortunate that he has made him-self available to us for Holy Mass and Confessions. Wednes-day is Fr Jim’s half birthday. Wish him Happy Half Birthday. Please pray for the people of Ukraine,

Deacon David Billing

Stewardship Awareness “…He said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none.’” LUKE 13:7 We can all be like the barren fig tree at times. Do you cling to what you have or do you generously share with others? How will you re-spond when God asks you what you have done with all the gifts He has given you? Remember, not only are we called to be generous, we are called to develop and nurture our gifts, and return them with in-crease. Remember, we are called to be generous with all of our gifts; especially the one that means the most to you.

Chili for St. Patrick Center St. Patrick Center provides meals for the needy through the help of volunteers. If you are able to help, please take a foil pan in the vestibule, make a batch of chili, freeze it in the foil pan, then bring the frozen chili to church and place it in the vestibule on the 3rd Monday of the month, Mar. 21 by 9am.

while I was in the hospital and recuperating. I am truly grateful for all your kindness.

Larry Meyer • The family of Larry Orf would like to thank everyone for

their prayers, cards and help, that made the service to honor his memory so special. It is so difficult to express our appreciation in words.
