Developed and managed a national project for Michael’s, a major retail organization (1000+ stores), embarking on a multi-million dollar store redesign. Brought in to develop a strategy for ensuring that the customers would be best served by the new design.

Engagement began with qualitative and quantitative research which led to a strategy incorporating organizational, customer service and store design and environment changes across the entire store network.

Worked closely with CEO and senior management team to implement significant changes that eventually led to a buyout by The Blackstone Group.

Developed and managed project with the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority to determine an effective strategy to increase ridership and plan for future infrastructure needs.

Engagement included a series of focus groups and interviews with users and non-users of the transit system.

The strategy was implemented and affected every level of the organization and significantly influenced a new multi-billion dollar transit plan. Worked closely with CEO and senior management team to implement the strategy.

Developed and managed project with USAA, a multi-billion-dollar insurance and financial services company. The challenge was to develop a creative method for evaluating the service level of customer service representatives and provide immediate input on remedial training required.

Created a leading edge customer service quality monitoring program designed to maximize customer service training

Resulted in substantially increasing the quality level of customer service. CEO was a champion of the program.

Developed, closed and managed engagement with ExxonMobil Chemical to evaluate the market potential for a new synthetic rubber for business-to-business-to-consumer product.

The engagement involved qualitative and quantitative market research among vehicle owners and tire dealers leading to strategy development.

Product was successfully marketed to major manufacturers, creating a multi-million dollar business. Awarded with ExxonMobil’s PRIME award (Peer Recognition in Marketing Excellence).

The engagement was to develop a marketing campaign to introduce the product into a new market. Entailed qualitative and quantitative research and development of a marketing strategy comprised of television, radio and print advertising
