Scott Flanagan, Country Traditions: Scott’s quilting journey spans more than 20 years. After graduating from Midland Lutheran College in 2007, he took on the role of Creative Center Coordinator with his main focus on Pfaff Machine Sales and Education, and has found a passion for machine embroidery and quilting. In 2011 2011, Scott started his own pattern design company 4th &Main Designs by Scott A. Flanagan” and spends much of his free time designing patterns exclusively for Country Traditions. When asked what is his favorite part of quilting is, his response sums it up, “All of it, from designing, to cutting, to piecing, to quilting, to binding. It is all part of the creative process and by skipping a step it feels as though part of the project is missing.”

Nicole Bontrager, Country Traditions: At the tender age of 8, Nicole was sewing and creating. Starting with clothing and pillows until two years ago, she made the move into making quilts. That is when she began her career at Country Traditions. Nicole enjoys sharing her passion of fabric and piecing with her students when she teaches. When Nicole is not at Country Traditions, she enjoys sewing, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family.

LuAnn Franzluebber, Country Traditions: LuAnn has been sewing since she was 10 years old in 4-H, doing mostly garment sewing. She took a small break from sewing to raise her 4 children with her husband Dave. LuAnn and her daughter took a quilting class together 10 years ago, and has been hooked into quilting since. LuAnn has been at Country Traditions for almost four years, during which time she has enjoyed making many samples and designing projects. She has also taught classes throughout the years. LuAnn enjoys reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and Long Arming in her spare time.

Leslie Main, Country Traditions: Always creating and after teaching middle school for 10 years, Leslie took on the challenge of owning and managing a quilt shop. In 1998, she and her husband Kevin opened the doors of Country Traditions. She now uses her teaching skills to share her passion for quilting. She teaches classes from basic quilting for the beginner to extensive techniques for the more advanced. Leslie also teaches many long arm technique classes, sharing her love for machine quilting with her students.
