Johnston Middle School Students: The safety of our students is the number one priority at Carroll M. Johnston Middle Sc hool. As always, we want to keep you informed of important issues happening within our school community. Yesterday we sent home a letter regarding a report of an attempted abduction of a student from Jesse D. Scott Elementary School after school on Monday. Detectives from the North Las Vegas Police Department investigated the matter and determine d it was a fal se report. Although we are pleased to know that an attempted abduction did not take place, we are sorry that the letter we sent out contained inaccurate information that was ba sed on w ha t we had b een told . Al though the report was fals e, t he safety tips provided in the letter are good practices to follow throughout the year. Thank you for your cooperation and patience with this matter.
