There will be a meeting of the cardiac crew every Wednesday at noon. This is to do some of the

things that need to be done at the lodge that other people don’t have time to do. Such tasks as

sprucing up and any minor repairs that need to be done. If you want to donate a couple hours a week to help beautify our lodge just show up. Coffee and

doughnuts will be provided. Contact Ron Foster if you have any questions.

Did You Know?

This column’s purpose is to keep us connected with our “brothers and sisters”! John and Kathy Tokos have a new family member! They recently adopted “Olive” from Nashville, Tenn. Olive was found by Mallory Hope a country western star and friend of John and Kathy’s. With the help of many people Olive made her way to Binghamton. Olive, John and Kathy are very, very happy! We have had some great Friday Night Dinner volunteers. Deb and Mark Prindle’s granddaughter, Maddy, did an excellent job serving. She used her tip money to support an animal rescue shelter. Maddy and her family volunteer each week to support the shelter. Thanks Maddy!. Keenan, Elinor and David Gardner’s grandson, was a great help serving our Turkey Dinner! Keenan was a joy in the kitchen and dining room. Both these young people demonstrated a spirit of volunteerism! Thanks Keenan! Leona Stevens and Sue Whalen’s Trivia Night was another hit. The winners, Bobby’s Buddies! Teammates were Steve and Sharon Flint, Russ and Marie Ryan and Bobby Carr. (Do you know what country Angel Falls is located?) You have the opportunity to win a 46 inch flat screen TV! This raffle is limited to only 500 tickets. They are $20 a piece. This is fundraiser for Mike Kelley’s family. His brother is seriously ill. Jason Beck is also cooking up a Ziti dinner (date to be announced). TV will be on display at the lodge. Thank you for supporting our brother Mike. Bonnie and Bill Bayliff came home for a visit! It was so wonderful to see them! Did you know one of our members “winters” in Hawaii? Larry Witteman and his lovely wife split time between here and there! Congratulations to our BBQ Team! They sold out in record time 29 minutes! Mike Bartosik, Russ Ryan, Scott Dow, and Steve Flint great job! News items submitted by Alicia Beck

Most of you worked from 7am to 7:30pm for all three days.A special thank you goes out to Scott Dow Jodi Dribnack , Ken Jennison ,Deb Valenta and myself for going to Watkins on Wednesday night to take TIPS training (bartender school) which is a requirement of NY State. Theses are the people who gave up there week end to work at the track Carin Palmer, Scott Dow,Ken Jennison,Deb Valenta, Gary VanDriesen, Bruce Deling, Phil Furman,Holly Angel, Bob Dussor, RussRyan, Bill Maney, Leona Stevens, Sue Whalen, Deno Christopher,Liz Laughlin, Phil Holowacz ( member of Sidney Lodge) A very special thank you goes out to Sharon Flint and Marie Ryan for getting up earlier than everyone else like 5am to see that everyone was fed before going to work and making lunch for all of us and fixing dinner for the hole crew everyday it was so much appreciated by all. Another special thank you goes out to Doug Gardner who lent us his camping trailor so some of us had a place to stay at the track I think we made about 2000.00 for the three days due to the efforts of all these people, so if you see any of these people please take time to say thank you. If I missed anyone, I am so sorry. Let me know and I’ll fix it. From myself to all of you THANK YOU FOR WORKING SO HARD.
