The Johns Hopkins office of Athletic Communica-tions uses the USILA Coaches Poll to reflect JHU’s official national ranking. This poll predates all other lacrosse polls and provides the longest-run-ning consistant national ranking system. This does not imply that the USILA Poll is in any way more official, but for historical purposes it pro-vides the most consistency.
