    Economy, Transport and Environment seek to recruit a highly motivated individual to work as a Business Services Assistant.

    The role is to provide a high quality and effective support service to operational managers and employees on a broad range of administrative support activities and to manage the weekly manual worker payroll system ensuring timesheets are received, processed and input accurately and to defined timescales.

    You will manage a team of six Business Services Assistants primarily responsible for the reconciliation and payment of invoices to suppliers of highways related goods and services; administer the depot fuel management system; undertake a range of financial procedures on the SAP system and provide support and advice to Highways Operational Managers on a range of issues including finance and HR related policies and procedures. You will also monitor highways operational budgets to ensure items are correctly brought to account.

    Proven literacy and numeracy skills are essential as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should be self-motivated and willing to adopt a flexible approach to meet priorities and deadlines. Well-developed IT skills and an excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite are required - especially Excel as the ability to produce and work with spreadsheets is essential. Knowledge of DCC financial systems, procedures and financial regulations are a distinct advantage.

    The successful applicant will have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentational skills and be capable of dealing with contacts at all levels including other Council departments, elected members, internal and external customers and members of the public.

    Applicants must have a strong customer focus, be highly organised, have excellent planning skills and be able to set and achieve targets through regular performance review. You will be required to participate in service redesign projects including the Enterprising Council initiative.

    The ability to speak fluent English in order to be able to communicate fully in the role with clients/the public is essential in this role.

    We are looking to recruit a full time six month fixed term Service Manager to provide enhanced management support across Chesterfield Royal Hospital Foundation Trust, out of area Acute Trusts and local community hospitals in the North of the county to enhance the department’s ability to respond to the increased demand on hospital services. The individual will work with the Countywide Hospital Discharge Management Team and support the development of our offer to Derbyshire residents. The ability to establish and maintain close relationships with partner agencies will be a key requirement for this role.

    The Service Manager will be based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital within the Integrated Discharge Team. The post holder will use their relationships and skills in supporting efficient and creative solutions to avoid admission and support discharges from inpatient settings as required. The main responsibility will be to provide support within the above geographical locations, however there will be an expectation to provide cover for Hospital Manager colleagues and that they will contribute to the county wide agenda and relevant departmental/partner agency developments.

    As a senior member of the hospital team you will provide some cross organizational leadership and be involved in further development of the service to ensure a 7 day assessment and discharge offer. The Service Manager will embrace ‘Discharge to assess’ and ‘Home First’ approaches and be involved in necessary work to develop departmental and system wide responses that support individuals to have sustainable support in the community, avoiding long term institutional care or the necessity to be admitted or remain in hospital longer than necessary. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an excellent track record in both their own ability and experience in supporting/managing others to develop professional autonomy and accountability. You will be responsible for the management of performance including delivering on outcomes identified within the council and managing performance in relation to delayed transfers of care.

    We are looking for an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic and who embraces ongoing improvement and development. This individual will promote a strength based approach and be able to use their influence to encourage a shared commitment to supporting people to maintain independence, choice and control over their own lives.

    An opportunity has arisen to apply for the position of Enablement Worker within the Mental Health Enablement service. The successful applicant will typically work alone and will provide support to clients on a 1:1 basis in the community in line with the agreed Personal Service Plan.

    The post is based at Tontine Road, Chesterfield office, but is part of a wider team that covers the North East Derbyshire and Bolsover locality. The service predominately works with working age adults with a mental health need on a short term basis to support them through periods of crisis, to promote independence, connect people with their communities and to support discharge from hospital. The team of Enablement workers also provide some long term packages of support.

    The service provides time limited support, highly focused on maximizing independence to reduce ongoing care and support needs. We aim to support clients to become more resilient in managing their mental health issues, and reduce risk by enabling them to gain skills, and build confidence in a way that empowers them to exercise maximum choice and control.

    Inspiring confidence and motivation is a key factor, alongside regular goal setting to achieve daily living tasks such as self-care, money management, addressing hoarding issues, accessing public transport, referring to outreach services such as welfare rights, adult learning, housing etc. Assisting people to build social networks to promote a sense of wellbeing and belonging.

    Responsibilities include:

    Acting in accordance with DCC policies and procedures, including that of safeguarding, confidentiality and Health & Safety.

    Lone working in the community with clients, following the risk assessments in place. Planning own work schedule with support from the Senior Enablement Worker Completing all training requirements and ongoing development. Using electronic systems to record all work accurately and factually in line with the requirement of the DCC

    monitoring and evaluation process. Liaise with colleagues, contribute to team meetings/reviews, and maintain good working relationships with

    Adult Care Social Work Teams, Community Mental Health Teams, the Recovery and Peer Support Service and other agencies as appropriate.

    Brackenfield School is an area special school for the South of Derbyshire, providing an exciting and relevant education for young people with complex needs including Communication, Moderate and Severe Learning and associated social, emotional, mental health needs.
