Introduction

A design is the outcome of all the inspirations. The inspiration
for design has mostly been nature- flowers, leaves, trees,
animals, birds etc. A design for embroidery is drawn using
lines and shapes. An hand embroiderer demonstrate various
design transferring methods such as carbon paper, prick and
pounce, heat transfer, stencil etc. Each method requires a
through knowledge of tools and materials to be used. Also,
care must be taken when transferring the design.

Design Transfer with Heat
Procedure:
the design is made on a transfer paper
place the right side of the design facing right side of the fabric, now iron the design
the heat of the iron transfers the design from the paper onto fabric

fine needle or beaded pin
place the design onto fabric

Suggestion
When transfer the design some points should be kept in
mind:
fabric should be clean
starch-free
stain-free
protective coating-free (if any)
these may be interfere to transfer the design on fabric
